  3. Obsession came out of its 7th weekend by overtaking The Exorcist in the domestic box office. That's massive! Still, every time I see news of the movie's box office, I keep thinking about how little the cast and crew earned. 750K for the entire budget also means 750K to split among everyone who worked on the movie. It's pennies for Hollywood standards, and pales in comparison to what the people who got the rights of distribution will receive. Jason Blum alone is reportedly getting 17 MILLION. It feels quite unfair. What do you think?

  4. I've been thinking about this a lot lately because there are a lot of movies that I think would have been rad to have seen open in theaters in their day but like, you know, I was either a kid or not born or whatever. What movie do you wish you could have seen on opening day -- and if you could time travel to do it would?

  6. TV · Started by Nicole Drum,

So Apple dropped a teaser for Neuromancer today to mark the 42nd anniversary of the book and it's pretty perfect. LIke, it looks really good. Who else is hype for this one?

  7. PlayStation just announced it will move away from physical game discs entirely by 2028. The timing is wild after the backlash for GTA 6's "code in a box" physical edition. What do you think about this major move towards a digital-only gaming landscape? Personally, I don't really buy physical games because of the space and convenience of digital. But I still don't like companies making everything digital, especially when they've got a history of yanking licenses away from people.

  8. Between Marvel, DC, and Image, we've seen a lot of incredible stories make it to the big screen. But there are still plenty of comic arcs that seem perfect for a movie or TV series and somehow haven't happened. What's one comic story you can't believe still hasn't been adapted?

  9. With the new DC Universe underway, I'm curious where everyone thinks DC should go next. Should they follow up with another Superman movie to keep building momentum, or is this the right time to give another DC character the spotlight? If you're choosing someone new, who would you want to see lead the next film?

  10. I've been thinking a lot about Supergirl and the DCU recently, and while I don't want to overreact to one movie underperforming, I do think there are some interesting discussions to be had. Gunn is basically trying to be DC's Kevin Feige figure (I know Peter Safran is up there with him) while also writing and directing stuff. To me, that seems nuts. Feige is always just a producer at Marvel. He doesn't write and direct on top of that. Producing/running a shared universe and writing/directing a movie seem like such time consuming jobs on their own, part of me is wondering if Gunn is spreading himself too thin and would be better served focusing on just one. Supergirl is th…
