About
I’m felix – a web designer and developer based in Brighton, UK. Or elswehere. Currently in Athens as it happens.
I keep making side projects, like my new ‘rate everything’ app – gRater – and made this blog as a home for my gRater posts.
I’ve started logging my runs too.

How the sausage is made:
I built this site with the brilliant Astro framework and host it on GitHub which deploys to Netlify.
I decided to use Tailwind for the CSS as I needed to learn it for a client job and this site was a perfect test case. I’ve come around from being a Tailwind hater to a Tailwind begrudging respecter.
Font wise, I use Satoshi for the headings, and Inter for the body copy.
I use glightbox for the lightbox/image galleries (code)
I use Plausible Analytics for privacy-first stats, you can view my meagre page views on the stats page
Running page
I’ve created a shortcut on my iPhone using Health Auto Export that sends my latest fitness data to a serverless netlify/node function which uploads it to an appwrite.io database and triggers a build of this site which updates my logged runs page.
