＜発売によせて＞
この度、Dotei Recordsの第一弾作品として、YAMAANによる幻想区域EP(DTR-001)を2020年2月25日にリリースします。

本作品は、Mirage Areaという名義でも活動している彼が近年の創作及び生活の両面においてに関係し、関係されてきたAmbient、New Ageなどの要素を軸に、道程レコードのコアであるDeep Houseの要素を取り入れて欲しいという意向をこちらから伝えたうえで、発案から半年以上をかけて出来上がった作品です。慣性が与えられたリズムによりHouseの要素が色濃く出るSide Aの3曲と、より音の隙間と空間が意識されAmbientな要素が押し出されたSide Bの3曲の計6曲から構成されています。

Deepという言葉が内包しうる概念を詳細に言葉で表現することは私にはまだまだ時間がかかりそうですが、その一つに「相反する二つ以上の感情の混在する状態」というものを挙げることができると考えています。それは退廃的かつキラキラしたVelvet Undergroundの音の中にあり、官能的かつノスタルジックなLarry Heardの音の中にあり、壮大かつ身近さを感じさせる吉村弘の音の中にあるものだと思います。これは、無常の中に美しさを見出すwabi/sabiの感覚にも似ており、物事の二面性、表裏一体性を受け入れることにより見えてくる「奥行き」の中に浮かび上がってくる感情の立体性と言い換えることもできるかもしれません。YAMAANの音にはそれらと共通項が確実にあり、それでいて全く異なるDeep（あえて具体化はしませんが）が存在し、それが私が彼の音楽に強く魅かれ、今回リリースをお願いした理由です。

トラック3とトラック5は、昨年の夏、クーラーの無い道程レコードの2階a.k.a.俺の家で2泊3日で創作した素材を基にした曲を収録しています。YAMAANさん、また今年も合宿しましょう。
また今回は、デザイナーの孝學直さんに依頼し、まさにアルバムのコンセプトに合った素晴らしいアートワークが出来上がりました。皆様、是非下記のリンクより、二人の他の作品も覗いてみてください。
