Kusama

Kusama is a decentralized blockchain network that enables innovation and experimentation with real economic value. It acts as a testing ground for new features before they are implemented on Polkadot. It enables developers to launch application-specific blockchains (parachains) tailored to their needs. Communication is enabled by Cross-Chain Message Passing (XCMP), while transactions take place across bridge parachains in the network. Kusama operates a sharded blockchain model in which transactions are processed in parallel rather than sequentially.

With Blockdaemon’s Dedicated Kusama Nodes, you get reliable, secure, and fully managed infrastructure without the overhead. Choose from single or clustered nodes, tailored for scalability and flexibility to meet your project’s needs.

Kusama Asset Hub

Kusama Asset Hub, formerly known as Statemine, is a system parachain on the Kusama network that enables low-cost creation, management, and transfer of digital assets, including tokens and NFTs. It acts as an experimental counterpart to Polkadot's Asset Hub, allowing developers and users to test asset-related functionalities in a canary network environment.
