The New Stove

When you live 100s of miles from a doll house shop, one has to figure out how to make up things from scraps so here we have some timber,Mount board, bunker, buttons and beads
Now you may know that this stove is very old and Gran has cooked on it for years it had to be moved from her other old home to this new one!

Thats the job for me today! well I have some organisation but this is harder than I thought!
Too many crafts! I would say!
Anyone else have that problem?

Now the quilts I have mostly in drawers in rather TALL,tall boy then I have transfered some village Christmas pieces in the spare room wardrobe still stashed with some of my sons bits and pieces who moved out 2 years ago I started taking some things up to his house till he said
"I have no cupboard space left" mm I know that...... nor have I! lol
I have a large tote of wool thats ok !

I have a Delprado I have squashed into 1 tote now when will I ever get that put together???????
MMm I have 4 huge binders full of tutorials and things I have saved for over 8 years so I will go through that and see if anything is worth keeping the way the net is these days we don't have to look far for turorials..... just look at Casey's blog lol

The Wardrobe

This is a robe that I made quite a while ago in a workshop with Anne Roder of Brisbane
I decided I had better get it finished all I had to do was add a few sets of sheets a quilt or 2 and some toiletries so here it is not quite finished need something to go in that big gap I think maybe hat and gloves

The Stove

This stove was made with a block of wood and some findings
cut out the shape and glue to back and a dowel for the flue
I need to make another one of these for Gran so she can get on with her jam makings

The Regal Bed

I made this bed in a workshop with Anne Roder using a block of wood for the base

The Nanny

Here is the Nanny, Jenny, who has Rose Victoria Diana in her arms

Charlotte

This is Victoria Huntington-Smythe married to Edward who has a broken arm right now!
They own the huge pink Victorian house
Edwards Grandfather Phillip Huntington-Smythe is a great shipping magnate and had built this for them
She loves her rose garden and is always out picking them for display
(She is a bit hoity toity, shhhhh don't tell her I said that though pleeaassee I will never hear the end of it)
Well Im not doing great with my mini makings right now!
Lotsa other things I have to attend to first like housework, accounting and mowing, just to name a few thingsJust too much I said!
Then my husband had a great suggestion!
"We need only 3 rooms with a huge Shed for all your craft mania!"
Who wants to clean when you have wonderful things to create in the workroom!
Yes I bet you all agree
I know my dear Gran is anxious to get started on her baking but first I need to make a stove out of a piece of wood and few other bits and pieces
Will get onto that real soon

The Mill

A Rik Pierce Workshop

I was looking in my stash of minis to see what I could put into Coras house when I heard someone yelling out!
I couldn't make it out for a bit then I turned and saw Fergus he was calling me over, he wanted to know when I could finish the mill roof "It was leaking last night on my face" he said
I told him he was to go home but he stayed in the Mill all night working but fell asleep soon after 3am

"It's just no good having the roof leak on the flour" he said

So looks like I better go fix that roof

I had to make some wall paper and flooring today for Cora she had her mind made up that the bedroom has to have yellow walls with Sunflowers
I have some of her work there as well to go on the walls

Wallpaper

I made some wall paper today at least I got one thing done, gran wanted lemon with Sunflowers on it for her bedroom so here it is and her lovely stitcheries I need to frame them now!

I have these 2 small quilts too, Gran said she was just too busy making jelly to finish them!
"You finish them you have more time than I do right now"...mmmmm right!!! I don't think so!!!
I couldn't seem to get the photos looking right, they seem much brighter than that!
I printed these out on my printer using the freezer paper method not too sure how to set the colour I must check out my 40 dollhouse books!!

The Begining

Oh what colour will I paint the bedroom?
I am thinking Gran will want yellow as she has made a lot of stitcheries with Sunflowers!
Some cushions too I noticed in her trunk. I had a peek when she wasn't looking! I was trying to get some inspiration!
Im not sure about that "Apple spice" set of drawers I think it should be white ! It clashes with her maroon carpet
Ok I have a Grandma, her name is Cora, who thinks she owns this house, so I have to paint it the way she says
One must obey the grandmas don't you think?
Already she has come with her packages of groceries to start her baking! Goodness me!!!!
Her grandaughter Tillie has some apples she has picked from Grans apple tree ready for Gran to start making Apple Jelly!
Here they are in the Kitchen! Gran is telling me how to paint her cupboards, I'm not too sure about the "Apple Spice" colour of the cupboard but she says it is fine I will paint over that yellow though!
That table is way too small too I need to cut those legs off and make some longer ones!
haven't finished painting that chair either

Cora's Half House

Here is the Half house that I have begun to build!
I have previously made one of these
i found the plan from a mini magazine not sure now which one.
I also bought a book called "Making Miniatures by Christine Berrridge and in it has many ideas of how to finish this house

Beginning

The Beginnings
Should have started this a long time ago thanks to Doreen's and Casey's wonderful blogs
I thought I better try it!
I am certainly not going to be able to keep up with them but here we go anyway!
