The camp was wild, a constant rage of voices and guttural shouts. Yet at certain times it was peaceful, with only the sound of the pine trees swaying in the wind. Tribal drums sounded and massive campfires were lit, but it was not all barbaric nor brutal. I saw babes and young maids, a loving touch and a longing stare, an embrace of compassion.
