Jeremy Keith has an idea for a web dev resource directory. I’d love for this to exist. Something human created. No ranking algorithms or AI.
Curation and moderation present a challenge. Such a project would surely need multiple contributors. And leadership? A person(s) or process that can say yes or no to a resource. How do they control quality, avoid nepotism, be fair but not taken advantage of? Should it be open, or opinionated?
That’s too much bikeshedding. Start by collecting resources; sweat the details later. How’s this for an idea to kick things off: declare a “links initiative” — everyone blogs a list of their favourite resources by the end of July. Hashtag it or whatever so they can be collated. Publish the combined results and go from there?
