Bluntness

I've also been told I have little tact, so if this offends you simply ride on.

Tasty and Glad

Well, wasn't yesterday tasty?  And I'm not just talking about breakfast with my brother, who's now sporting a full beard.  I had Eggs Benedict, if anyone is interested.  They were quite tasty.  Because it's just 2 eggs on an English muffin with a bit of hollandaise on top with a side of hash browns, I don't feel overly full after the meal.  Some people believe they need to leave the restaurant feeling bloated in order to get their money's worth.

And while we didn't get any rain yesterday here in Central PA, the sun was out most of the day, it did rain elsewhere.

There was an interesting article on age and friendship on the Washington Post page which linked to AARP.  Evidently it's good to have younger friends, as well as those in your age bracket.  Of course, I've known this for years and believe it or not, my friends come in all ages.  There is a bit of an age issue in not only this country, but in the world; too many see age as being stratifying, and you really should associate with those in your own layer.   Well, that's just horseshit.

And I have gladiolas!  They haven't bloomed is so many years, so I'm suspecting it's all the rain we've been having.

And, of course, the American people were served a scrumptious appetizer yesterday in the form of a Target letter received by the dishonorable Orange Anus.  An amusing aside:  during breakfast I told my brother I thought Christie was going to get the nomination and he found that funny, and then an hour later the Moral Degenerate throws out this savory bit in order wring more sympathy from his cult (and don't forget the buckos they'll send him).  Don't forget that Christie has qualified for the first debate and all Trump is doing is handing him plates filled with chewy ammunition.  At this point, I suspect there might not be a Republican debate.  Trump will refuse to be yelled at on national TV.

Then yesterday afternoon my cup ranneth over with joy when up in Michigan 16 indictments were handed out to those trying to send false electors to Washington, liars and losers ready certify their liar and chief Donald Trump.  Keep in mind, these are still just the appetizers.

Sydney and the stolen election data

I'm heading into a work free week beginning today.  The store will not see my happy, smiling face again until Saturday, and then only for 6 hours.  The department has been rather understaffed lately.  I've helped by giving up some of my free time, something I'm not fond of doing.  They still have to hire a specialist to replace the one who gave his notice, and then showed up for a few hours on his last day.  Another associate, as I mentioned before, fell off a roof.  He's scheduled to be back at the desk on Thursday, with his shoulder in a big cast; that's going to put a damper on his texting.  The Haitian we hired to be an evening aisle associate has also stopped showing up for work.  He told us he followed his own schedule rather than the one written for him.  I do hope his personal schedule lets him know he's being terminated as a 'no call, no show.'

They were predicting rain for yesterday, and what we got was the occasional shower.  So, last evening I was out with the hose watering my plants.

When I got home from work yesterday, my neighbor's brother was at the house.  Since they're going to be throwing everything out, I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't picking through things.  As I'd said, Dirty Dawg had been there on Saturday to give them a quote and evidently it was more than they were wanting to pay, otherwise that house would be empty.  It will be interesting to see how the family proceeds.

And Rudy Giuliani is going to be indicted, at least that seems to be how things are playing out.  He's before a Georgia Grand Jury today.  I wonder if he's going to be sweating hair dye.

Oh, and evidently the FBI also confiscated 3 of Trumps passports, though he admitted one of them had expired.  Let that sink in.  3 passports.  He doesn't have dual citizenship with any other country.  I have one because, as a US citizen I only need one.  But he had 2 passports he could use.  Something smells a bit fishy.  The fact that they took them implies they see him as a flight risk.

And I do believe that Lindsey Belle is supposed to be testifying today as well.  He is probably not sweating hair dye, bullets?  yes, hair dye, no.  I wonder if any of those NDAs he had his escorts sign become null and void if his ass gets indicted.

You do have to admit that bombshells seem to be dropping daily now.  The Washington Post dropped this one yesterday.   Treasonous Sydney Powell and her group of traitors hired a computer group to breach sensitive voting machines in 3 states:  Georgia, Michigan, and Nevada.  That's a criminal felony.  These charges will no doubt make Sydney a flight risk.  Ouch.

Consternation

So, it's Wednesday and for some reason I keep thinking that it's Thursday, probably because I'm anticipating having Friday off.  In case anyone is wondering, I have every Friday off.  I'm unavailable on Fridays.  Well, I am, but I'm not, if you know what I mean.

The Black Friday clutter is beginning to take hold of the store again.  Happens every year.  They advertise this as the Pre-Black Friday, however not much is going to change for retail's holiest of holy days.  Well, they will bring out more junk.  Things the never sell, like toasters, and bar stools.  The dog beds are already out blocking the aisles.  Sorry, I would never buy a dog bed from Home Depot.

I had to relocate one of my fish yesterday, a red mollie.  He was in the teeny 5 gallon, now he's in the big tank.  Mollies are very good community fish, but this guy has a bit of an attitude.  He kept going after a golden lyre tail molly, so now he's with the green mollies.  He's also in with the angels and the golden barbs.  We'll have to see how well he adapts.

My neighbors had to put down their corgi last week, and asked if I wanted the food.  I said, sure, I don't like really mixing foods.  Two nights ago she brought over a big bag of Hill's Science Diet.  This morning my dogs each had 2 cups.  My God!  You'd have thought I'd been starving them for weeks. So I added a large bag to their Chewy's autoship.  A bit pricey, I think.

I understand there's consternation among the Republicans in regard to Biden's infrastructure bill.  McConnell has gone so far as to say it will be a godsend for Kentucky.  I suspect this bill is also going to be very well received in other less financially secure states, like Alabama, and Louisiana, and Arkansas.  These are states where for far too long the GOP has focused on putting the Ten Commandments back in classrooms, rather then high speed internet, or crumbling bridges.  States like Michigan where they tried to shove the issue of lead pipes under the carpet because to fix that issue they might have to increase taxes on the wealthy.  Yeah, the wealthy, those people who live in areas where they don't have to worry about lead in their water pipes.

Taking the temps

And so today I reach the end of my 4 day work week as many of you begin yours.  Ain't life odd sometimes?  My lunch / dinner is cooking in a small crockpot: chicken, with olives, tomatoes and basil.  I threw in a handful of white grapes to give it a bit of pizazz.  And yes, if you're wondering, I cook my lunch everyday, and always with fresh vegetables.

Today the mercury is supposed to climb up to 94 (F).  I don't know if anyone says that anymore, but that used to be a rather common phrase.  There was a time when people used mercury in thermometers, even the ones in stuck beneath your tongue to take your temperature.  Once, when I wasn't feeling well at school, I bit one and broke it; the school nurse was not pleased and had me spit out the pieces.  Now, just sit back and imagine that, me, with mercury in my mouth and having to spit it out.  For those who don't know, mercury is poisonous.  And we used it in thermometers.

For those who don't know, the Tour de France in now racing it's way through France.  Interestingly, I learned about the big crash on Day 1 from people at work coming up to the Flooring Desk and asking if I had heard about it.  Two associates gathered around as I pulled up the videos on my PC.  Until I began talking about the race, and watching it, they wouldn't have given the Tour a wit of thought.  The crash everyone was talking about was caused by a fan, shoving a sign bearing the name of her town out into the peloton.  her stupidity raise the temps of  the Tour's racing officials and now they're going to sue her ass.  More power to them.

And a Republican committee in Michigan rebuked The Other Guy and his Big Lie.   That's right, they found no fraud, saying he lost fair and square, not that the truth is going to sit easy with his base, or that they'll even consider it.  Nope.  Their hatred is hot.  The truth is Republicans have always been rotten losers.  Always.  This is why 'voter fraud' has been their favorite whine for years.  It's easier for them to believe that then the fact that Americans really don't like either them, or their politcs.

Gone

Crap, I got up this morning to find I had a comment from the Russian Call Girls.  Gone now.

Yesterday was a lazy day.  I did nothing that was taxing or strenuous.  The dogs were walked and several loads of laundry done.  I wrote, I napped, I set up my dumbbell workout in my Gym Genius since I'm not longer going to the gym... until sometime probably in the Spring.  I played some Valhalla.  Four hours into it and I'm still in Norway.  Yikes, I'm still in the prologue.  The actual game doesn't start until I'm forced south to the British isles.

Did everybody see the clips of Giuliani sweating so much his hair dye ran down the sides of his face?  All of that sweating?  That's the sign of a liar.  For those who didn't, here it is:

Today is going to be chock full of business.  I'm going to my neighborhood Giant this morning.  Just because I'm going to be spending Thanksgiving with the dogs, doesn't mean I can't eat well.  Oyster Stuffing's on the menu.  Green Bean Casserole is not.  For years, I've been expected to make Green Bean Casserole.  This year?  Nada.

Temps here are supposed to be up in the mid 60's (F)  There is a bit of yard work that's needs to be done, as well as some painting.  And a ride on the bike.

And not too surprising, Georgia was called for Biden.

And I saw where the investigations into the Idiot Jerk's finances are expanding.  It seems as if consulting fees were paid to Ivanka Danka by the organization she works for and then used as tax deductions.  Will she be joining Daddy in Moscow?  I wouldn't be surprised if some family compound was in the works.

Finally, the Idiot Jerk has invited 2 members of the the Michigan Legislature to visit today.  Stupid, aren't they?  He's going to demand they help him steal the election.  When they don't bow down and grovel before him, they will see his rage.  Republicans have always been overly consumed with their grasping need for power.  They have a really big problem.  If they cave into him, they will be seen as scumbags from Hell.  They have no idea how ugly this is going to be.  They will look bad.  And the next time they are up for election... they will be gone.

Remaining Stupid

Sunday... I'm sitting eating my breakfast.  Planet Fitness opens at 0700.  I have a new app: Gym Genius.  This will be my first day using it.  I've reset my workout schedule.  Three days at PF and 3 days on the bike and then a rest day.  Right now I'm doing 4 exercises, but that number will continually increase.  After my workout, I'm going to zip over to my local Giant (Supermarket).  I'm making roasted cauliflower for my lunch / dinner.  The recipe calls for pancetta, but I may use an alternative meat.

I've ordered 2 more ornaments for the tree.  I've started looking at size now.  What good is an ornament if it's too heavy to hang?  One of them is a lumberjack, something in the Poke the Bear series.

I'm also on my 2nd load of laundry for the day.  Sunday has never been my day of rest.

Heading to the house this with my grocery bag, I thought my dahlias still looked nice, so I took a picture.  That's Biggie up in the window.

And I saw that the Idiot Jerk in the White House held a rally in Michigan last evening.  Remember Michigan?  That state where some Cracker Jack domestic terrorists wanted to kidnap the Democratic governor?  Well, evidently some in the audience began shouting "locker her up," and the Idiot Jerk, with his crusty chancre of a soul allowed it to go on because... he has a chancre for a soul.

And there was this great opinion by a Republican Strategist in NBC News.  I read this and thought, hell, that hits the nail on the head.  Believing the confirmation hearing of Amy Coney-Cumquat would distract America from the fact that their Idiot Jerk president perfectly defines the Republican party.  Remember when they used to talk about smoke and mirrors?  Well, it seems as though they've failed Gaslighting 101.  Suddenly trying to pass some sort of skinny pandemic relief fund as a way of saving their political souls is rather difficult when the killer clown is already out of the box.  The only thing you can rely them to do is totally fail to learn their lesson.  In fact, that's the only thing they've ever been any good at, remaining stupid.

His ass is Grass

I am now halfway through my work week.  I'm excited.  Can you tell?
I did have to suffer through a bit of a catastrophe yesterday.  The wrist band on my Fenix 3 began falling apart.  There's no chance of it falling off my wrist, but it now flops a little bit.  I ordered a new one that's supposed to arrive tomorrow, army green.
After a day off the bike, I did put in some mileage yesterday as well, 14 to be exact.  The San Remo Cycleway, considered to be the 'best cycling path ever.'

Bicycles only
There are 3 lanes: two for bicycles and one for pedestrians, no traffic for over 14 miles.  Loverly.  this was the 4th time I've done this ride, which means Strava has started ranking my times.  After logging in over 16,000 steps at work, my legs felt a bit slow and I thought I was going to do poorly.  Wrong.  Fastest time ever, by 34 seconds with an average speed of 17.8 mph (.3 faster than the 3 early rides).  I was happy.
If you want to look for them, there are pics of the Idiot Jerk in the White House wearing a face mask as he toured the Ford plant in Michigan.  His was black, of course, covering his mouth of doom.
He also said if there's a bit spike in Covid - 19 this fall the country is not going to shut down (I don't think I need to repeat that for you).  He needs the economy to be booming if he wants to get re-elected.  An interesting read in the NYT opined that Covid - 19 has done brutal damage to his campaign.  For him the economy has always been the key to another 4 years, so he downplayed the virus.  Bad mistake, but then he has a history of bad business management.  By the time his team realized the seriousness of his mistake it was too late, and then he made another bad business decision:  he was going to turn the daily briefings into mini-rallies to celebrate his successes.  People turned in for the science, not the Ego.  The more he talked, the more people realized he was a dumb fuck.  His only choice was to pivot back to the failing economy.  That's a no win situation for him.  Since his odds of getting re-elected are in slow motion freefall, he's going to go pedal to the medal.  He doesn't care how many die, without the economy his ass is grass and the American Voters are going to mow him down.
Finally, a bit of fluff on Alexexandria McCabe (aka Tara Reade).  And the NYT is reporting that there's no record of her obtaining a Bachelors Degree under either alias at Antioch University, in fact, that learning establishment is refuting her claim.  For years she provided 'expert' opinions in domestic abuse cases and now many of those rulings are now in jeopardy.  Her shit storm is just beginning.  Lawsuits will be filed.

Burn the Bern

Thursday.
For those interested, I'm about halfway through the editing "The Body in the Well."  I'm trying to do a chapter a day (there are 35 chapters).  If I can keep that up,  If I can keep up this pace, my designated readers should start getting their copies in about 2 weeks... maybe a little sooner.  They are anxious.  I do tell them in all seriousness that no live snakes were killed in the writing of the book.
Something new I'm trying my hand at is growing a sweet potato... in one of my old coffee pots.

I'm excited.  It looks as though the foliage is purplish, of course that may change as it grows.  I have no idea since I've never done this before.
Mitt Romney voted to convict the Idiot Jerk.  The collective Republican establishment shit in their pants.  Someone broke ranks.  This is bad for them since he's very popular in Michigan, a state they are desperately need to win in 2020.  I'm not wild about Mitt, but I do think we should all give him a round of applause.  This is just one more nail in their coffin.
As I noted in one of my comments, what the nation did learn about Iowa is that the Democrats have a burning desire for a candidate who will clean the Republican shit off the doormats in Washington.  To do that we need to convince millions of Independent voters we know what we're doing, that we're a Centrist Party.  As the candidate field narrows, there are two who will not be able to do that:  Bernie and Warren.  Too far to the left.  At this point, I believe you can probably write off Warren, she just isn't make that big of a splash.  This leaves Bernie as our only concern.  Should he get the nomination, Independent voters will stay home rather than vote for his Socialist agenda.  And Bernie?  He does not care if he shits in our pie.  He's done it before, in 2016.  How long did we have to wait once Hillary secured the nomination for him to say in his small, bitter voice, "I support her."  His base was never on board.  Sure some of them turned out to vote.  But a lot of them held a grudge.  Bernie is one of the reasons we have the Idiot Jerk in the White House.  Should he get the nomination, we will have another 4 years of Republican tyranny.

The time has come to burn the Bern.
