Not a whole lot of clarification to be given here I just particularly enjoy the way osprey always look a bit like they’ve just walked into a room and forgotten what they came for. In fun etymological things; the genus name of osprey comes from Pandion, the mythical king of Athens, and the species epithet “haliaetus” can be broken down into “hali” meaning “of salt” and “aetus” which is the greek remnant of the word that means “eagle”.
