Philip Fowke

Biography

Pianist Philip Fowke has had an extensive recording and performance career, some of which focuses on unusual British works; he has premiered several pieces by Arthur Bliss. He is also a prominent educator. Fowke performed and recorded solo works, concertos, and chamber music, remaining active into the 21st century. His 1981 album Virtuoso Transcriptions for Piano was reissued by the CRD Records label in 2007. Beginning in 2001, he was a member of the London Piano Quartet.
