Franziska Pietsch

Biography

Violinist Franziska Pietsch specializes in chamber music but has released several concerto recordings. She has also played with several trios. Pietsch founded the Trio Testore in 2000 and made her debut recording with that group, Brahms: The Complete Piano Trios, in 2013. Pietsch's solo debut came in 2015 on the album Grieg: The Violin Sonatas, with pianist Detlev Eisinger. Pietsch moved to the Aria label in 2025 for the album Tides of Dance, featuring the Violin Concerto in D minor, Op. 8, of Richard Strauss and the Symphonie Espagnole in D minor for violin and orchestra, Op. 21, of Édouard Lalo, performed with the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada.
