So much love for this masterpiece, has never left my rotation since its discovery in late '05.
Now with a few extra bangers and that outro is beautiful.

Lake Nocturne How to even pick a favorite track here? This album has always been close at hand since I discovered it over a decade ago. Underrated hip hop classic from start to finish.

Timmyg cool calm rap over cool calm beats. consistently quotable, relatable, swear free, and has a song about brushing your teeth (which is a certified banger ®) Favorite track: The List.

virtua It's insane to think it's already been 18 years since this masterpiece dropped.

So rarely do we get a one-off album with this much quality (and fidelity, like listen to the title track on some nice headphones). Favorite track: Brush P.S.A..

phoenixhelm I’ve only recently found pete’s work, but it resonates in such a way that it feels like it’s always been a part of me.

What a fantastic aural presence; the songs bring me back to my childhood, to my adolescence, to my early adulthood, all at once, all over the boroughs. The stories, the rhymes, the gags, are sublime..

From one New Yorker to another, no matter how far away I go, this album is quintessential, it brings me home, if not physically then emotionally and spiritually. Thank you pete! Favorite track: Wind Sprints.
