"When it came to this story about twisted relationships, betrayals, purity and obsessions, I felt the need to direct it myself, blending thriller and irony, drama and sentimental comedy, and placing my trust in a cast of extraordinary and generous actors, as well as in a crew who have been brilliant, and not only from a technical viewpoint".
