Session Replay now includes a live event timeline, available today for Advanced plan customers. Instead of scrubbing through a recording hoping to find the moment things went wrong, you can watch telemetry events appear in real time alongside the replay and spot exactly when two events fire at the same time. That overlap is often where race conditions hide, and now you can see it happen instead of guessing at it from logs after the fact.

The timeline gives you finer zoom control so you can narrow in on a specific window, and search highlighting lets you filter for the events you care about. If you're on an Essentials plan and need to debug faster make sure you upgrade today.

Your Settings Pages Are Getting a New Look

We've started rolling out a modernized UI across your account and project settings. The first batch of pages now run on our newer interface, and you'll notice cleaner layouts and faster load times. This is just the beginning. We're rebuilding settings page by page, so expect more of them to feel like this over the coming weeks. 

We also cleared out a handful of recent bug fixes. The Labels and projects dropdown in the Shortcut notification channel settings now works correctly. The comments panel on error items has a rebuilt @mention experience and shows a proper confirmation dialog when you delete a comment instead of the browser's default popup. And we addressed several UI layout issues on mobile, including misaligned columns on the Teams table in your profile settings.

AI Credits and Root Cause Analysis for Free Plans

Free plan users can now purchase an AI credit subscription to access Root Cause Analysis without upgrading their plan. Previously, RCA was only available on paid plans that included AI credits. A credit subscription starts at 15,000 credits for $5/month - enough for roughly 20-30 RCA analyses per month, with a typical analysis using 500-700 credits.

AI credits are also the foundation for upcoming AI-powered features, so adding a subscription now means you'll have access as new capabilities ship.

As a reminder, if you do need more occurrences, or to take advantage of more advanced features, our paid plans have also been repriced:

• Essentials starts at $9/month (10K events, 90-day retention)
• Advanced starts at $13/month (10K events, 180-day retention, plus Saved Views, Adaptive Alerts, and RQL)

Both paid plans include AI credits. To get started on the free plan, purchase a credit subscription from your Compare Plans settings.

Usage Breakdown Graph - Historical Over-Budget Data

The historical view of the Usage Breakdown graph now displays data for periods where usage exceeded budget. Previously, over-budget data was not shown in the historical view, making it harder to review past usage patterns.

GCP Plan & Usage - $0.00 Price Hidden

The $0.00 price line is no longer shown on the Your Plan & Usage page for GCP customers, where pricing is handled outside of Rollbar's billing system.

Versions Screen - Full UUID Now Displayed

The Versions screen now shows the full UUID in the versions column rather than a truncated version.

Versions and Deploys come to the Dashboard

We've brought Versions and Deploys to the Dashboard as cards. You can now add them from the Dashboard menu alongside your existing cards, so you can keep an eye on what's shipping and which versions are throwing errors right from the page you already use most.

These new cards will be replacing the standalone Versions and Deploys pages, which we'll be retiring in approximately one month. We'll send in-app notifications ahead of the retirement date, but we'd recommend adding the cards to your Dashboard before then so you don't miss a beat.

More Clarity in your Usage and Plans

We've made a few updates to the Plan & Usage experience. The unused portion of your on-demand capacity now shows in light red on the usage graph, so it's easier to tell apart from your included plan usage; as you start consuming on-demand, that portion fills in with your normal usage color. We've also added direct links to usage breakdown graphs, so you can share a specific view with your team. Last we update the UI to make it easier to see that any on-demand changes are a two-step process.

On Demand for Credits

If you have a subscription you can now set the on-demand for your credits limit and use our RCA credits similar to an pay-as-you-go system. Just add a dollar limit into your on-demand credits and will only charge you for the credits you use at the end of the month.

Terraform Project Creation Bug

We fixed a longstanding Terraform bug on our end that was causing intermittent Project not found in this account errors when you create a rollbar_project_access_token right after a new rollbar_project in the same apply.

SDK Releases

Rollbar Java 2.3.0 beta has been released continue to adding logs to telemetry as we continue to add more telemetry events to Java. We are also releasing Rollbar-gem v3.8.0 to update the latest Rollbar.js snippet 3.1.0 and fix some small issue.

Other Bug fixes

On the API side, we're now rejecting requests that try to set a project rate limit above the system rate limit. We've resolved an "unknown mutation error" that was caused by case-only changes to a project slug, and fixed an issue affecting notifications for items with a high occurrence rate.

AI-powered Root Cause Analysis (RCA) is live for Essentials and Advanced accounts. Open any error item, go to the Root Cause tab, connect GitHub if needed, and run Analyze root cause. You get a readable summary of what likely broke, where to look first, and enough context to skip long manual tracing. With our latest JS and Pyrollbar SDKs, RCA correlates occurrences across connected projects using session and propagation IDs, so when the symptom shows up in one service and the failure started somewhere upstream, we can surface that chain, all in one place.

RCA is now included on all paid plans. During beta, Essentials accounts get 4,000 AI credits per month (roughly 6 to 8 RCA runs); Advanced gets 8,000 (roughly 10 to 14 runs). If RCA becomes a regular part of your workflow, you can purchase additional credits when you need them.

New 10K plan tier

A lot of you told us the same story: you hit the free plan's 5,000-occurrence cap somewhere mid-month, then new production errors quietly stop landing in Rollbar until the cycle resets. The next tier up at 25,000 felt like overkill for your volume. So we added a 10,000-occurrence option. Essentials is $9/month and Advanced is $13/month. On either plan you get the features that reduce the noise in your feed (snooze, saved views, user and team assignments) plus room to run RCA on real issues each month.

Improvement

We’ve just released v0.5 of Rollbar-MCP, which adds support for multiple projects. You can now include a config file that defines more than one Rollbar project and its access token, all through a single connection.

This reduces setup when you work across services or environments, and it makes it easier for agents to pull the right context without having to switch projects through multiple MCP installs. If you try it, we’d like to hear what works and what still feels rough.

Telemetry for Java and Laravel 13 support

Rollbar-Java v2.2 is now available with navigation telemetry events for Android. This adds more context around what a user was doing before an error occurred, and we plan to keep expanding telemetry coverage, so stay tuned.

We also released rollbar-php-laravel v8.1.4 to support Laravel 13, which shipped on March 18, 2026, along with dependency updates, so you can upgrade with fewer surprises.

Lastly, we’ve fixed a bug that prevented the webhook from being created for the high-occurrence rule and made some small UI updates for clarity.

We’re excited to announce some new features and updates for Rollbar that we’ve pushed live in the last month.

Firstly, the occurrence component on the dashboard has received an update to the user experience. This includes implementing our new Chip Filter layout. This update also establishes a new framework for the dashboard page, allowing for future additions of new components, so stay tuned

The default page size on the usage breakdown screen has been changed to 50, so that for most users a whole calendar month will be shown. This will make the usage graph and statistics clearer to understand.

We resolved a problem where useraddedto_team events weren’t being recorded in the audit logs. Audit logs are available to Enterprise users.

You have asked us for a easier way to connect Rollbar to your identity provider. You can now set up SSO using OIDC as an alternative to SAML for Advanced and Enterprise accounts.

Connect your identity provider with OIDC

OIDC support lets you use modern IdP integrations and standard OAuth flows to manage authentication into Rollbar. If you already use SSO with an OIDC provider, this should be a better fit than SAML.

Easier Team Access Control

You can now create teams with "Light" and "View" access directly through the User Interface. Previously, this functionality was limited to creating teams via the API. This enhancement makes it easier to manage and control project permissions.

Improved Integrations

Shortcut: We've updated our system to accept the new, longer API tokens now used by Shortcut. We also resolved a bug that caused the configuration page to crash when no token was stored.

GitHub: You can now connect your GitHub repository to Rollbar, even if it uses the three-level format: organization/team/repo. We previously only supported the traditional two-level structure.

We resolved an issue that was preventing users from reactivating deactivated accounts

Over the holidays, we ran a focused bug sprint to tackle some of the most-reported issues and ship a few small features that make day-to-day Rollbar workflows easier.

See user impact directly in the item list

If you have People Tracking configured, we now show the number of unique people affected by each Item right on the Item List. This gives you a quicker read on user impact without opening each item, so you can prioritize what to fix next with more confidence.

View historical usage with a date picker

We added a historical date picker on the Usage Page so you can review usage over time, including across previous contracts. This makes it easier to understand past trends and answer questions about how your usage has changed over time. We also resolved a pagination bug in the Usage Breakdown Table that could affect customers viewing longer time ranges.

Batch assign items to a team

We fixed an issue that prevented assigning multiple items to a team in a single action on the Item List page. Using our batch actions, you can now assign Items to a team in one pass.

Full toast messages for longer notifications

Longer error and info toast messages were getting cut off in the UI. We’ve fixed this so the full message is visible after pressing the “show more” button.

We’ve added full search support across all Session Replay attributes, including IP address, location, URL, and more. Whether you’re tracking down a specific behavior or narrowing results from a large dataset, this makes it faster to find what you’re looking for. Check out our documentation for more.

Need to narrow your list, you’ll also notice new chip-style filters in the Replay list that let you filter Replays by browser, OS, environment, project, or trigger, along with the current time period.

Full-page Replay view improvements

We added “Next” and “Previous” buttons to help you navigate your filtered or search results without losing your place. We’ve also enhanced the full-page Session Replay view to include IP address and location details, so you can quickly assess additional user context.

More control over what’s captured and what isn’t

You can now turn Replays on or off at the project level directly from settings. This is especially helpful if you’re troubleshooting PII issues or need to temporarily reduce capture volume without modifying the SDK. We’ve also added a new API endpoint to delete session replays programmatically. Last, when you delete a person's record via the API, any associated replays will be deleted automatically.
