All-Points Bulletin

I am a missing person.

Have you seen me?

A good girl.
Someone bright.

A little quiet
… but alright.

A thinker.
A bit quirky.

A dreamer.
Sometimes flirty.

A whirlwind.
So busy.

Happy-go-lucky.
Often tizzy.

Vivacious.
(Try to be) gracious.

Tenacious.
Definitely loquacious.

Yet.

I am a missing person.

I can’t find me.

Am I still here?
Do I seem steady?
Say I’m sincere.
I want to be ready.

But…
it’s a mistake.

I’m just what I choose to show.

I am a missing person.

You don’t get what I won’t let go.

I thought I had
shallower grooves.

But these thoughts,
run deep.

They creep and seep.

This is not me
catastrophising.

This is me
realising.

I am a missing person.

Have you seen me?

Vision

I see the world
opening like a door.
Quiet,
as light spills
into corners I once feared.

Shadows lean back,
softened by the patient morning.

A bated breath,
and colour rises from silence.

Gathering courage,
every moment becomes a lens,
polishing truth until it shines.

Light circles quietly
around the edge of seeing.

And in the small gleam
of an unnoticed leaf,
I recognise myself again.
