Butterfly Rocket is a very small constellation of storytellers, artists, and programmers who are focused on creating narrative-forward visual novels and interactive fictions, with particular emphasis on complex and compassionate characters and themes.
The main project under our umbrella is the upcoming visual novel Bright Oak, which has an anticipated full release in 2026. For ongoing progress updates, please check out Bright Oak's Tumblr page.
Our most recent release is Other Spheres (2026); past works include If One Goes Astray (2025) and Burdock (2023), along with collaboration on Tell It Slant (2024) for the Spooktober Visual Novel Jam.
