It has been clear for a long time that #Trump is a person with a disorganized mind & a disordered personality. What the past few months & especially the past few weeks brought into focus is how his pathologies have cascaded downward & outward through his admin. They have become institutionalized. The reason it so often does not act coherently is because it cannot. The world faces something new & baffling & frightening in Trump’s 2nd term: a #PsychoticState.
This does not mean that every individual in the government is emotionally or psychologically unstable. Nor is it a clinical diagnosis of #Trump himself [though, if it walks like a duck & talks like a duck…]. The issue is that the admin as a whole lacks a consistent attachment to #reality & the ability to organize its thinking coherently. Trump’s grandiosity, his impulsivity, inconsistency & his outright breaks with reality have become state #policy.
In that respect, Trump’s 2nd term is different from his first. In 2020, he could confabulate about the election result or babble about treating Covid with injections of disinfectant. But he could not translate his fantasies into reality—at least not usually [exception∶ #Jan6]. In the 2nd term, by contrast, institutional psychosis has been on display since Day 1.
It is the #IranWar that has most vividly demonstrated the scope of the problem. In this conflict, the most potent antagonist has been the admin’s own incoherence.
The #Trump administration chose to wage a #war without deciding on its aims, mapping out a strategy, planning for contingencies or even being able to explain itself.
The goal was #RegimeChange — until it wasn’t. The demand was unconditional surrender — until it wasn’t. Deadlines were issued & then erased. Threats of total destruction were made & then pulled back. #Iran’s #nuclear program was a casus belli in February despite that fact that we were told by #Trump that it had been “obliterated” last June.
#Trump called for an international coalition to open the #StraitOfHormuz, then said the United States could go it alone, & then said the waterway would somehow “open itself.” He claimed that the United States had already won the #war, that the war would end soon, & that the war would end “when I feel it … in my bones.” As a headline in The Times put it, Trump’s position on #Iran “can change by the sentence.”
Even as the bombs fell, the administration, concerned about #gasoline prices, waived #sanctions on some Iranian #oil, “giving #Iran’s war effort against the #US a boost,” as The Washington Post reported. Area experts were shocked when the administration proved unprepared for Iran’s partial closing of the #StraitOfHormuz, a tactic experts had anticipated for decades.
The admin might have been readier had it not chopped back the State Dept’s #MiddleEast desk, gotten rid of its #oil & #gas experts & eliminated its dedicated #Iran office. The admin handicapped its own #NationalSecurity Council by firing staff members, some at the behest of a #conspiracy-minded internet personality, & undercutting its #independence — not a good idea before launching a #war. Trump’s social media posts seemed self-contradictory & demented.

Sometimes the media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation or by sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Government #censorship and #secrecy especially in war time, are very common.
7. Obsession with #NationalSecurity
Fear of hostile foreign powers is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses.
8. #Religion and Government are Intertwined
Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government’s policies or actions.
9. Protection of #Corporate Power
The #industrial and business #aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.
10. Suppression of #Labor Power
Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor #unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed.
11. Disdain for #Intellectuals and the #Arts
Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to #HigherEducation and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other #academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts is openly attacked, and governments often refuse to fund the arts.
12. Obsession with #Crime and #Punishment
Under fascist regimes, the #police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego #CivilLiberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations.
13. Rampant #Cronyism and #Corruption
Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders.
14. #FraudulentElections
Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by #SmearCampaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control #voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. The Post and Courier reviewed 30 pages of FBI agents’ notes, which have not been publicly released. The notes, made by agents in a series of 2019 interviews, offer a few new details about her claim that she traveled with Epstein to the New York area in the 1980s. She alleged that she encountered TFG during a visit and was once forced into a sex act
The agents’ unredacted notes were not disclosed in the millions of Epstein documents released so far by the U.S. Department of Justice. They flesh out some aspects of her claims that she crossed paths with Epstein in the Lowcountry before he built a global sex-trafficking operation.
The Post and Courier compared the notes with official summaries, known as 302s, that agents prepared after the interviews. Some details in the handwritten notes never made it into the prepared summaries, which were heavily redacted by the Justice Department before their public release as required by law.

Claims that #Jews or Israel are somehow pulling the strings and manipulating the US into the Iran war don’t arise in a vacuum. They mirror longstanding patterns of antisemitism, in which Jews are portrayed as wielding hidden power, manipulating governments, and acting with dual loyalties.

It's also a crude pun meaning he doesn't have testicles.
