40775 Mini Knight's Castle or, as it might more correctly be called, Mini Knights' Castles is one of several gifts with purchase that'll be available this weekend and next at LEGO.com, free when you spend in excess of £225, $250 USD, €250, $325 CAD, $410 AUD.
With over 500 pieces, it's a substantial gift, although as you would expect given it's microscale, many of them are small.
It's a bit fiddly to assemble, but the resultant fortresses are wonderful homages to the larger models of yesteryear.
10366 Tropical Aquarium is a wonderful model and one you're likely to want to keep out on show once you've spent 10 hours building it.
To prevent it getting dusty, Unique Display has come up with a display solution that integrates with the model's frame to make it look more like a real aquarium.
Four acrylic panels are provided which affix to the front, sides, and top in various ways to enclose the model. There are two versions, one with slots at the top to allow the filter to be added, and one without.
It's priced at £44.99, but the first 50 purchasers who use the code AQUA15 at checkoutwill receive a 15% discount, taking the price down to £38.24, and we'll receive a small commission. If you miss out on that, BRICKSET10 will provide a 10% discount.
It's been a busy few months for Ideas releases, what with 21360 Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, 21361 Gremlins: Gizmo, 21362 Mineral Collection, and 21363 The Goonies hitting the shelves since September.
The backlog is still considerable, though, with six projects added to it a fortnight ago when the first period of 2025 results were announced. It's likely that the resultant sets will be available in time for Christmas next year.
I thought it might be useful therefore to publish updated lists of what's still to come, both projects that passed review and those that have won competitions.
The beautifully detailed and colourful 4,154-piece set costs £399.99 / $479.99 / €449.99, and if you buy it before 19th November you'll receive 5009823 Fish Tank Filter & Fish Food as a gift with purchase.
If you've not done so already, read our review, then place your order.
The gift with purchase when you procure it between the 13th and the 19th of November will be 5009823 Fish Tank Filter & Fish Food, which arguably should have been part of the set.
The last major LEGO event in the UK this year takes place next weekend, 15-16 November, in Bristol. Tickets are selling fast but are still available to buy online, so grab them while you can.
There'll be three floors of exhibits, traders and activities in the pavilion at the Gloucestershire county cricket ground, including a GBC of which I will be part.
I hope to see you there: come and say hello and I'll give you a 1x8 Brickset brick (while stocks last!)

Acrylic display cases are a popular way of displaying models in a dust-free way and there are several manufacturers supplying them in the UK. I was recently introduced to one that's about 10 miles from where I live in Hampshire, Unique Display.
I visited last week and was very impressed with the production facilities and the finished products, which are made to order and dispatched within 2-3 days, unlike some competitors who can take weeks to fulfil orders.
Proprietor Jay has lent me a case for 75430 Wicket the Ewok to examine and photograph for this article, and is offering a 10% discount to Brickset readers.
After a brief period of exclusivity as a GWP in Disney stores, 40774 Classic Animation Scenes is now available as a gift with purchase at LEGO.com, free when you spend in excess of £115/€130/$130 on or before the 11th of November.
The LEGO Ideas team has let it be known on social media that the results of the first 2025 review will be announced this Thursday, 30th October.
It's being billed as the 'biggest' review announcement yet, so read into that what you will.
57 projects accrued the required 10,000 supporters during the period, which you can view after the break. Let us know which ones you hope will be successful.
The current gift with purchase at LEGO.com is 40774 Classic Animation Scenes, which is free when you spend in excess of £115/€130/$130 from today until the 11th November.
Our sample should arrive imminently so we'll publish our review as soon as we can.
Last week we asked you to nominate sets released this year that you felt represented good value for money at full price.
Around 250 different sets made the list, suggesting that although many recent releases are not perceived to be good value, quite a lot are, by some of you at least.
I did consider running a poll to determine, from the ten sets that received the most nominations, the one that you think is the best value overall, but it became apparent that the one that received the most votes accumulated twice as many as the one in second place, making it a clear winner and a poll redundant.
So, after the break you'll find a full run-down of the top ten. There are some surprising entries, including the set at the top spot.
The latest issue of the ever-excellent Blocks magazine will be hitting doormats in the next few days and on newsagents' shelves soon. Here's the press release:
