It looks like you're new around here, so we thought we'd let you know a bit about the site and what it has to offer.
Brickset is primarily a database of LEGO sets. We've been online since 2000 and are now a cornerstone of the online LEGO community: a resource used and trusted by LEGO fans around the world.
As well as virtually every LEGO set ever made, our database also contains information about minifigs, parts, colours, set inventories and much more. We also maintain comprehensive lists of discounts and new products at online LEGO retailers, making it easy to grab a bargain or bag the latest set.
Additionally, we publish news and comprehensive reviews of new products on our home page, making us a one-stop-shop for everything LEGO-related.
Over 300,000 people use the site to keep track of their LEGO collection, review and rate sets, post comments, maintain lists, and much more. So, sign up today to join us and start enjoying everything the site has to offer!
LEGO Education has traditionally been focused on sets intended for schools, which are usually only available online and not really marketed to children or LEGO fans of any age.
However, the four sets revealed today, part of a new range named Learning at Home, will be more widely distributed and take a different approach to the Education format.

Today's random set is 8510 Lava, released during 2000. It's one of 35 Technic sets produced that year. It contains 35 pieces, and its retail price was US$6.
It's owned by 1,798 Brickset members. If you want to add it to your collection you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $25.50, or eBay.
Today's random figure is exf012Meca One, a Exo-Force figure that was first produced during 2006. It can be found in 3 sets.
Our members collectively own a total of 13,353 of them. If you'd like to buy one you should find it for sale at BrickLink, where new ones sell for around $10.00.
We've had one set with a few cats, another set with a lot of dogs, so it looks like the Friends team is paying plenty of attention to pets this year! It's not at all surprising then, that there's another set dedicated to pets - or perhaps their owners - in 42678 Pet Accessories Van.
This set seems to be a natural complement to the other pet-themed sets - after all, the pet owners need to go shopping. Or in this case, the shopping can come to them.
Enjoy a heartwarming project with the LEGO Icons Golden Retriever Puppy (11384) model building kit for adults. This poseable animal figure captures the charm of the much-loved dog breed, making it a must-have for animal lovers and golden retriever enthusiasts.
Pose the puppy figure’s head, ears and tail, and lift its front paw to create a variety of endearing expressions. Open its mouth to reveal rows of small white teeth and insert the pink tongue to add even more character. Finished with a colourful collar and medallion, this cute LEGO dog makes an adorable display for any space.
Creator 3-in-1 animal sets are among my favourites, and given that seven of the nine boxed Creator sets released this month build cute (and not so cute) critters, I can't be the only one who likes them.
That's not surprising, because they offer everything a good LEGO set should: creativity, a versatile selection of parts, and excellent value for money, all traits that are becoming increasingly rare nowadays, especially the last one.
31376 Cute Hamster with a Flower is one of the two just released that cost less than a tenner, and it's so cute you'll want to cuddle it...
40915 Lion Dance is now available as a gift with purchase at LEGO.com, free when you spend in excess of £135 / $150 / €150 between now and next Wednesday, 28th January.
The spectacular set, which celebrates the Chinese New Year, contains four minifigures and 480 pieces, and is valued at £24.99 / $29.99.
This week's announcement of the initial LEGO Pokémon sets reminded me of a poll published in 2020. Prompted by the high frequency of new licensed themes at the time, we asked Brickset readers which new licenses they would like to see in the future, as well as which should return.
Almost six years later, new licensed themes and individual sets have continued to be released at speed, including seven of the fifteen options from the original poll. Similarly, two thirds of the mentioned returning licensed properties have indeed returned since 2020, albeit often not in the way many of us expected at the time.
I think it is interesting to look back at those polls and consider what else the future potentially holds, especially since many of the more obvious options identified a few years ago have now happened, perhaps leaving few possibilities.
7990 Cement Mixer and 60018 Cement Mixer are two exceptional sets, released in 2007 and 2013, respectively. We have waited many years for the next version and 60478 Cement Mixer looks impressive too, continuing the series of construction vehicles produced lately.
Like those previous construction vehicles, the model features an attractive flame yellowish orange and black colour scheme, as well as the necessary play functions. However, whereas sets like 60409 Mobile Construction Crane and 60420 Construction Excavator greatly improved on earlier designs, I am not convinced this represents as dramatic a step-up.
You will no doubt have noticed the polls that we add to the bottom of press releases about new sets that we use to gauge interest in them ahead of their launch.
Once a year I crunch the data to produce a report to find out which sets were the most anticipated, and so on. We usually publish it in December but, well, the site was busy enough as it was before Christmas, so better late than never.
