Sit back, relax, and give it a listen HERE.

I appreciate all of the kind words, as I'm sure the Marie Curie cast and crew do as well. I had a blast writing the script and love how it turned out. Great job to the cast and crew for whom this is a labor of love. We do these because we are, ourselves, first and foremost, Star Trek fans.

Thank you.

ENVELOPE ART RETURNS!

I mailed out some cool stuff today so you know what that means... it's envelope art time. Today's envelope sketch features the USS Enterprise at Warp Speed! #StarTrek

The ladies at the Bethlehem Post Office saw me walk in and the first thing they said was "let me see what you've drawn today!" I'm glad they get a kick out of the sketches too.

A GOOD HAUL...

I drove my dad to an appointment at the VA this morning. As usual, all parking was full (more patients than space, sadly) so I waited for him at a nearby used book store where I scored some cool paperbacks. #StarTrek #Tarzan #AtTheEarthsCore #FlashGordon

Not a bad haul for $5, eh?

Thanks, Book Nook!

IT WAS THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS...

28 years ago. WOW. That was the longest summer between seasons and still one of my favorite cliffhangers ever. "Mr. Worf... fire." Still gives me chills. As a writer, I learned a lot from this episode. Michael Piller poured a lot of story into part 1's 45 minute run time.

Bobby

Repost trekmovie: #OTD 1990: #StarTrek #TNG Season 3 ends with one of the best cliffhangers in TV history, "The Best of Both Worlds" Part I. #ResistanceIsFutile #LongestSummerEver

The one big problem I have with the second episode of this two-parter. It's this exchange:

RIKER: Lieutenant Worf, everyone in this room shares my respect for your service to this ship. But right now, I need your experience at tactical. Commander Data, I realise your very nature omits ambition. Nevertheless, I want you to know I seriously considered you first officer.

DATA: Thank you, sir.

RIKER: But this is not the time for change. I need you all where you are, where Captain Picard always relied on you. I have been, reluctantly, forced to conclude that Commander Shelby, our expert on the Borg, is an ideal choice at this time for first officer.

Not the time for change? I can't imagine a better time to move people into new jobs. Picard already knows what they can do where they are now. Moving them around circumvents a big piece of Locutus' knowledge of the enemy.

That part always bugged me a bit.

Otherwise, this is an outstanding two-parter. If you haven't seen it, it's great. It also makes for a good double feature when paired with the Star Trek First Contact movie.

BOBBY NASH RETURNS TO THE FINAL FRONTIER...

Last year, I wrote a short screenplay for Randy Landers' Hospital Ship Marie Curie Star Trek fan series. They run 8 - 10 minute episodes within the new guidelines put out by Paramount and CBS. After touring the sets last year (they are amazing, by the way), I came up with an idea so I wrote an episode called "Under Fire" for them. Today, they filmed the episode, which is pretty darn cool. Sadly, I was unable to be there for the filming, but I look forward to seeing shots when they are available. Follow their progress HERE.

If you happen to be in or around the Birmingham, Alabama area on the weekend of July 27 - 29, join me, Randy, Michael Day, and maybe a cast member or two at the Hoover Library's SciFi/Fantasy Fest 2018 in Hoover, AL. (Hoover Public Library, 200 Municipal Drive, Hoover, AL 35216 | (205) 444-7820). We'll be doing a panel on fan films at the event, which should be a lot of fun. I hope to see you there. www.hplscifi.com and www.facebook.com/hplscifi will have details.

I hope you're having a great weekend.

YET ANOTHER TOP 5 LIST... WANNA PLAY ALONG?

I borrowed this one from my friend, author Jim Beard over on Facebook: Pondering my most-favorite TV series of all time and I sort of automatically came up with personal criteria for inclusion:

*No longer on the air, seen every episode, could watch any episode at any time, love them even for their faults*

So, using Jim's criteria, in no particular order, my Top Five TV Series of All Time (at least as of today):

M*A*S*H, Night Court, Magnum p.i., Star Trek, and Stargate (those last two I'll just lump all the series together though DS9 and Atlantis are my favorites of each). These are shows that, if I run across them, I will watch.

Honorable mention (since others are doing it) go to Leverage, Deadwood, The Newsroom, Justified, Longmire, Doctor Who,
Nash Bridges, Babylon 5, and Married... With Children. I can watch these shows (and have) over and over again.

What is your top 5? I'd love to hear from you in the comments below.
