BOBBY NASH CANCELS DECEMBER BOOKS AND BREWS APPEARANCE

Unfortunately, due to an unexpected scheduling conflict, I will be unable to attend the Books and Brews event on Friday, December 13th in Savannah, GA (6 pm - 9 pm) at Southbound Brewing Company.

If you are in the area, please give the event a visit. You will have a great time.

Books and Brews combines authors and adult beverages raising funds for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire and to promote literacy in our community. Featuring a check presentation to the RMH, live music by Knot Done and a few of Savannah's local authors!

I was really looking forward to joining Adam and the other authors for the event. I will hopefully be able to join them at a Savannah event in 2020.

THE WRAP UP-- LEGION COMIC CON

Bobby's table
The first Legion Comic Con in Smyrna Georgia took place today and I was honored to be one of the guests/vendors at the event. Chris Hamer and his amazing team took great care of us and even fed us, which is the fastest way to an indie creator's heart. I thought the event went well. There was a steady flow of traffic through the American Legion where the event was held and I believe the last count I heard was 565 attendees, which is pretty darn good for a first time show. I met some new people and caught up with friends, had some terrific conversations, and hopefully picked up a few new readers. I hope this is the first of many Legion Comic Cons to come. This was a fun event. I would definitely do it again.

THE WRAP UP-- GET LET!!!! THE 2019 INDY BOOK AND ARTS FESTIVAL!

Bobby reading Snow Falls.
On Sunday, I took a road trip south to Warner Robbins for the second Get Lit!!! The 2019 Indy Book and Arts Festival hosted by my buddies, Chris Garrett and A.D. Estratto. The first event was held in a coffee shop. This time, the festivities took place at the Purple Panda Arcade, which is a pretty cool place to spend a Sunday afternoon.

The authors took turns reading from their work (all were recorded so there is video out there you can find, some of it HERE) and there was a lot of fun discussion. Sadly, the crowd wasn't as large as we had hoped, but a fun time was still had. Special thanks to the arcade owners for bringing in food for us, which was above and beyond and wonderful. The original plan was to bring in food from a potato restaurant (I can't recall the name now, but the word POTATO is in the restaurant's name). Unfortunately, the potato
restaurant was open, but doesn't sell potatoes on Sunday. That one had us all scratching our heads, but we got a good laugh out of it.

Here's a video from my reading of Snow Falls. You can also see the video on Youtube HERE.

Bobby reading from SNOW FALLS

The event was fun. If you weren't there, you missed a good time. I hope there will be more Get Lit!!! to come.

THE WRAP UP-- THE SOUTHERN PEN WRITER'S CONFERENCE!

My panel/bio in the program book
On Saturday, May 18th, I was a guest at The Southern Pen Writers Conference in Monroe, GA. This was the first year for this event and I think it went amazingly well. Big thanks to Vickie Bley and her team, the authors, the presenters, the volunteers, and the attendees for making this event so special. I hope there will be a second one.

There were two keynote addresses during the event, one from author Ed Grisamore called "The Wonderful Life of a Writer" and the other from author and judge, Lori Duff called "The Legal Side of Writing" which she made quite fun.

There were a total of thirteen workshops/presentations to attend. I taught one at 10:00 am called "You've Written Something. Now
At book signing event
What?" which was well attended and fun. The audience was quick to participate and had some interesting questions. They also fed us, which is always a nice bonus. All three of the events I did last week fed us. All other events should take note. Ha. Ha.

If you are a writer, published author, or want to be a writer, I think you can learn a lot of wonderful information at writers conferences. Hopefully, The Southern Pen Writers Conference will return.

TODAY'S OFFICE... HEY! WHO'S THE REAL VILLAIN HERE? (UPDATED)

Today's office... start of the writing day.
I'm enjoying another beautiful spring day here in sunny Georgia. Have to get in the outdoor office writing time in while I can. It's much to hot and humid to sit out here all day during the summer. Today, I'm seeing how Abraham Snow is going to get himself out of this jam I've put him in. Am I the villain here? :)  #amwriting

Today's office... time to pack it up and head indoors.
I've reached that point in the evening where I can no longer work outside. The sun hits at just the right angle to make it hard to see the laptop clearly. Even the shade doesn't help. A good day of writing so far.still a bit more to do, but now it's break time. #amwriting
