Top Ten Tuesday ~ 2026 Anticipated Books (part 3 of 4)

Today's official prompt covers anticipated books releasing in the whole second half of the year, but as we've established before I have too many anticipated books to stick to just two posts per year covering them. So instead, my post this week will cover the books releasing from July โ€” September 2026 that I know about and am excited about!

The Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag ~ 2026 edition

It feels like I say this every year... but that doesn't make it any less true. Where has the year gone? How is it the end of June already? I can't believe we're already half-way through the year. 2026 so far hasn't been as hard for me as it has for many people, but it… Continue reading The Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag ~ 2026 edition

Top Ten Tuesday ~ Books on My Summer 2026 To-Read List

I've been mood reading my way through the year so far. This summer, while I'm not going to do away with mood reading, I'm going to try to aim my mood at book challenges that I would like to make progress on. Here are some books that I think might make for good summer reading, and which could also help me make progress on my Discworld reading, The Great Series Read, and the Cozy Mystery Bingo challenge. I've also included a few June 2026 releases which I would like to see if I can read sooner rather than later.

2026 Reading Challenge Updates Part 1

I'm only doing a few year-long reading challenges for 2026, so I thought it was time to do a quick update and see where things stood! One of my challenges, The Hardest Reading Challenge You'll Ever Do (HYCYED) is going to wrap-up next monthโ€”and has the most to explainโ€”so I'll give that one its own… Continue reading 2026 Reading Challenge Updates Part 1

Top Ten Tuesday ~ The Gift of Free Short Fiction

Today's real prompt is a Bookish Wishes, but since I don't really share my bookish wishlist online, I'm instead giving all of you the gift of free short fiction. As usual, these will mostly (if not entirely) be speculative fiction, since that's what I read the most. I've double-checked the links to make sure they all work, but generally I have read these stories in the ebook version of the magazines themselves. I've subscribed to several SFF magazines for a while now, which is where I find most of these stories.

The Imperial Radchalong Continues

If you followed last November's Sci-Fi Month posts, you may remember that we read Ann Leckie's Imperial Radch trilogy starting in November. When we finished up the trilogy early this year, we decided that we wanted to continue reading the rest of the Radch books as a group as well. Well, we've been getting ready… Continue reading The Imperial Radchalong Continues

Now that Wyrd & Wonder is over, here are some non-fantasy mini reviews that I have been saving! (Well, and one additional fantasy one that didn't make it into a review post in May.)
