John Warthen Holland
John Warthen Holland (1883-1969) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
He was nominated by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt on May 26, 1936 to replace Halsted Lockwood Ritter. He was confirmed by the Senate on May 30th, and received commission on June 1st. From 1950 to 1955, he was the chief judge. On July 1, 1955, he assumed senior status and continued to serve in this capacity until his death on November 14, 1969.
