Hugh Dean McLellan (1876-1953) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He joined the court in 1932 after an appointment from Herbert Hoover. At the time of appointment, he was in private practice in Boston, MA. He resigned on September 30, 1941 and passed away on June 20, 1953.^[1]

Judicial nominations and appointments

District of Massachusetts

McLellan was nominated by President Herbert Hoover on January 18, 1932 to replace James Madison Morton. He was confirmed by the Senate on February 3rd, and received commission on February 10th. He resigned on September 30, 1941. McLellan was succeeded in this position by Charles Wyzanski.^[1]
