If you ask Brett about himself, one of the first things he will tell you is that he is a “baseball guy.” Years on the field - both as a player and as a coach - have instilled in Brett values of hard work, leadership, teamwork, a competitor’s spirit, and a resilience to never give up. As a mentor to young students, these are all qualities that he imparts to those that look up to him. Whether on the field, in the batting cage, or in shop class, Brett has strived to teach younger generations, the importance of personal responsibility, to achieve goals and to give back.- Election Integrity

I love seeing good, hard working people succeed and get the recognition they deserve. Many times in our society the wrong things are promoted, the wrong people are promoted. It conditions us to lookout for just ourselves. We should be looking out for one another. (In the Media).

Elections Election integrity is crucial to the stability and security of our country. Processes must be put in place that will ensure complete transparency in the system, safeguarding and restoring trust in our elections.
Education As a career teacher, I have an up-front view of our education system, and I can say that without a doubt, it needs some major reform. We have a responsibility to enact policies and standards that better serve the students, training them for a successful future. We also need to fix the accountability system, as currently, the sole responsibility for a student’s success falls on the shoulders of the teacher. Finally, what we teach our children regarding how they view each other, how they view themselves, and how they view this country is vital to building strong generations of Americans. Radical ideologies such as Critical Race Theory (CRT) which teaches children that they are either oppressed or an oppressor based upon the color of their skin is damaging and must be expunged.
Media & Big Tech Censorship The media and big tech’s censorship of and war on the First Amendment must stop. All Americans should be able to freely express their thoughts and opinions without the threat of censorship or of being de-platformed. Additionally, the media must not be controlled by one party, pushing only party-approved, narratives and talking points. Border & Immigration A country without borders isn’t a country. It is vulnerable and weak, rather than secure and strong. We must secure our border, stopping the flow of illegal immigration, crime, and human trafficking that is pouring across it. This isn’t uncaring or inhumane. It’s common sense.
Government Spending & Hyper Inflation Printing money that we don't have has caught up with us. Excessive and wasteful government spending has increased our national debt and lowered the value of the dollar, thereby decreasing our overall purchasing power. I will work to curb wasteful spending and ensure that Washington works within a more limited budget. Energy Any energy strategy must start with Energy Independence. Reliance on others for our country’s needs, especially energy sources, is a recipe for disaster. Nuclear energy should be at the forefront of fulfilling our ever-growing energy needs. We must also leverage natural gas, which we have an abundance of, and exploit our plentiful oil resources in a responsible manner. Trade & China The strength of America needs to be restored, and this starts with reducing the United States’ reliance on China and others for products and services. We need to bring manufacturing, IT, finance, and legal jobs back to the U.S. rather than offshoring them. I will work to bring jobs back by providing incentives to corporations to promote a truly U.S. workforce. China’s dominance in the world continues to grow, usually at the expense of our own national security. As mentioned above, we are too reliant on them for products and services, specifically our pharmaceuticals. Also, we continue to lose tens of thousands of acres of our own farmland (read: food supply!) to them through land purchases. To combat all of this, I believe we should:
National Defense We must concentrate our efforts on building a strong military that will defend us and our country.
Covid COVID-19 is real. It’s a virus that affects people differently, and sometimes, tragically. My heart goes out to those that have experienced the loss of loved ones to this virus. I also understand the distress of those who have had their livelihoods destroyed due to the irresponsible response to this virus: the lockdowns. Our path forward must be different. First, we must come to terms with the fact that COVID is endemic. It’s here to stay. We must live our lives without fear of this virus and without implementing draconian measures upon our society or hurting our economy.
The 2nd Amendment The right to bear arms should never be infringed. I will always support our right to defend ourselves and our families. I will work to block any efforts to provision the government with tools that will encroach upon this right or be used against Americans. Environment We have been blessed with a beautiful planet. It is our responsibility to be good stewards of it. Conservation is an essential aspect of this stewardship.
