In accordance with Article 101 of the Law of Ukraine On Access to Public Information, public information in the form of open data (“open data”) is made public for unrestricted and free-of-charge access. Open data is permitted for further unrestricted use and dissemination.
Any person may freely copy, publish, distribute, and use open data, including for commercial purposes, in combination with other information, or by integrating it into their own products – provided there is a mandatory reference to the source of such data.
Any further use of open data requires mandatory reference to its source (including a hyperlink to the data administrator's open data web page).
The list of datasets that are subject to publication in the form of open data is defined by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 835 dated 21 October 2015 (as amended).
