The hybrid painted. Sorry not the best pictures maybe I will replace them with better ones on a later date. In real he looks much better.
A little background I gave him.
His name is Skar. He suffers from a deformed neck.
Nobody knows his origins. They say that he is the product of a magical experiment that got totally out of hand.
Because he is an outcast he became a mercenary for hire. When you hire him be sure that you have the money and you pay him on time else you could become his next victim.
And don't think because he is short and deformed he is dumb and clumsy instead he's smart and agile. He know's how to handle his weapon.
Thanks for looking!

Repainting the first.
I have this mini laying around for many years. It is the very first miniature I ever painted. I think it was about 25 years ago or so. I was in a shop where they sold comics and comic books. There was also a little corner for gamers. When I came looking what they were doing they invited me to sit down to built and paint a miniature myself from a box full of bits.
This one is built using a Skaven body and an Orc head. After glued together I painted it fast and not to neat, thinking that it would be the first time and the last time I would paint something like this. Oh i was so wrong in thinking that.
As you can see the years have taken hold of the miniature. It is all battered up and full of scratches.
So it is time to give it some love and paint it up to make it nice and shiny again.
The first thing I had to do was to clean it up. Because I also wanted to add something extra I searched my bit box to see if it contained a big shield. After some searching I found one. It is a left over from a Confrontation mini. But as it had an forearm attached to it I had a lot of metal to file of before it fit. After that I put some woodglue to the base and added a layer of sand.
After the glue had dried I primed the helmet, shield and the base all black. I was not too careful with applying the paint because as said I am going to repaint the miniature completely.
Next the painted Orc/Skaven Hybrid (that will be his name).
Thanks for reading.

New 'Old Posts' added.
Well it ain't exactly new posts but posts that I have imported from my other blog (Metal, Plastic and Paint!). After some thinking I have decided that I will delete the other blog (around the new year). This for the simple reason that I hardly post on that blog anymore. Because I don't want the posts on that blog get lost I imported them in this blog. These imported posts contain pictures of painted Confrontation models (Dirz and Daikinee) and painted old Games Workshop Dark Eldar models.
This blog (AV's Corner) is and always will be focused on Flames of War but now also sometimes, but not to many, will have a post not FoW or WWII related.
In the future I will slowly replace the pictures of the imported posts with new and better pictures. The pictures that are now placed on these posts are too horrible to look at.
The imported post are incorporated into this blog on the same date they were placed on the other blog. This means you won't find them as a new blog post. Later on I will place a link in the header which will contain all links to the appropriate posts.
Thank you for reading.

Wych Raider
This was my first try of painting a big object.
Can't say i am very proud of it.
Conclusion for all painted Wyches
For that time when i just started painting it doesn't look too bad.
The bases could use some more detail than only green painted sand.

Some Wych conversions
On the left of the photo's the original on the right the converted one.
It are only small and simple conversions. At that time i was happy with it.

Wych - Succubus
Two Succubus.
These were also the first time i tried a little conversion to avoid to have 2 identical minis.
The right mini has the arm with whip replaced by an Eldar arm with sword.

Dark Eldar - Wyches
This is a picture of 2 squads of Dark Eldar Wyches.
Only 1 Raider because the other one never saw the painting table and probably never will be.
