1. Apple Trade In is provided by Likewize Telecom (“Likewize”) as part of a contracted service provided by Likewize to Apple Inc., and any of its affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively, “Apple”) at no cost to Customers.
2. “Apple Trade In” means the responsible reuse of the Product or its parts.
3. “Product” refers to iPhone (7 Plus, 8, 8 Plus, X, XR, XS, XS Max, SE (2nd generation), 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, 12 mini, 12, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max, 13 mini, 13, 13 Pro, 13 Pro Max, SE (3rd generation), 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro, 14 Pro Max, 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, 16 Pro Max, 16e), iPad (5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, iPad A16, mini 4, mini 5, mini 6, mini A17 Pro, Air 3, Air 4, Air 5, iPad Air 11-inch (M2), iPad Air 13-inch (M2), iPad Air 11-inch (M3), iPad Air 13-inch (M3), 9.7-inch Pro, 12.9-inch Pro, 10.5-inch Pro, 12.9-inch Pro 2nd generation, 11-inch Pro, 12.9-inch Pro 3rd generation, 11-inch Pro 2nd generation, 12.9-inch Pro 4th generation, 11-inch iPad Pro 3rd generation, 12.9-inch iPad Pro 5th generation, 11-inch iPad Pro 4th generation, 12.9-inch iPad Pro 6th generation, iPad Pro 11-inch (M4), iPad Pro 13-inch (M4)), and Apple Watch (Series 4, Series 5, SE, Series 6, Series 7, Series 8, Ultra, SE (2nd generation), Series 9, Ultra 2, Series 10), including any subsequent model upgrades or replacements, iMac, iMac Pro, Mac mini, Mac Pro, Macbook, Macbook Air, Macbook Pro, Mac Studio and all Non Apple devices not produced by Apple.
4. “Apple Store Gift Card” means a credit redeemable pursuant to Apple terms and conditions, which may be altered from time to time: http://www.apple.com/legal/giftcards/applestore/us/. The Apple Trade In Apple Store Gift Card is not otherwise redeemable except as provided herein.
5. “Customer” means the undersigned that is the owner of the Product or has been authorized by the owner of the Product to make decisions on the Product.
6. Apple Trade In is provided to Apple customers by Likewize as an independent third party company. Apple is not a party in the transaction between Likewize and Apple Trade In Customers. Any and all transactions are solely the responsibility of Likewize and Customer. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT Apple Trade In IS BETWEEN YOU AND LIKEWIZE ONLY, AND APPLE IS NOT LIABLE FOR AND DOES NOT WARRANT SUCH SERVICE. By using Apple Trade In, you hereby release Apple and its respective directors, employees and agents from any disputes, claims, demands, and/or damages (actual or consequential) of every kind, whether known or unknown, arising out of, or relating to, your use of Likewize Apple Trade In, including, without limitation, incomplete or completed transactions and any claims or disputes between you and Likewize.
7. Customer affirms that he/she is at least 18 years of age and is shipping devices from within the United States.
8. Customer must accept these Terms and Conditions as stated here, in order to complete a Product trade through Apple Trade In with Likewize.
9. Customer use of Apple Trade In is limited to individual consumer submission of two (2) Products within any twelve (12) month period.
10. Customer represents and warrants as follows:
11. Upon physical receipt of the Product and issuance of the Apple Store Gift Card by Likewize, title and ownership in such Product transfers to Likewize and Customer disclaims any further right, title or interest in and to the Product or any items or data contained therein.
12. Once Customer has shipped the Product to Likewize, Likewize cannot guarantee its return to the Customer unless there is a revised quote by Likewize which is subsequently rejected by the Customer in a timely manner.
13. Customer acknowledges that it is his or her responsibility to remove all personal data from his/her Product, before shipping to Likewize, including SIM, removable memory cards, and must data clear the Product, to include a factory reset. Likewize is not responsible or liable for the removal of Customer’s personal data.
14. Customer agrees that he/she has the sole responsibility to keep a separate back up copy of any files or data before shipping the Product to Likewize; and that Customer has taken reasonable steps to eliminate and delete files and data that are deemed personal or confidential. Data recovery is not a part of Apple Trade In and Apple and Likewize accept no responsibility or liability for any lost files or data.
15. Customer will follow the Product shipping and packaging guidelines as provided by Likewize on the Apple Trade In website, as may be altered from time to time. The Customer may otherwise provide the Product to Likewize in packaging to be obtained by Customer, and shipped to Likewize’s designated location, all at Customer expense. Likewize will not be liable for any loss or damage to the Product while in transit.
16. Apple Trade In is provided for lawful purposes only, to the extent permitted by law, Customer agrees to indemnify Apple and Likewize and any of its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, subsidiaries or agents from and against any claims brought against any of them arising from Customer’s breach of the terms and conditions of Apple Trade In.
17. Likewize and Apple will under no circumstances be liable for any special, indirect, incidental or consequential damages resulting from Apple Trade In. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Likewize, Apple and its affiliate’s entire liability, if any, from any cause whatsoever with respect to this service shall not exceed $100.
18. Apple Trade In is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
19. Likewize and Apple reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit Apple Trade In for any reason and may change these terms and conditions at any time without notice.
20. Product value quotes will be valid for fourteen (14) days from date of creation. The quote is extendable, upon written Customer request and Likewize acknowledgement, for an additional seven (7) days, or twenty-one (21) days in total calculated from the initial quote date.
21. Any Product sent to Likewize, other than an eligible Product, will not be issued Apple Store Gift Card credit, nor will the Product be returned to the Customer.
22. The Product quote provided online by Likewize is based on the Customer’s full, truthful and accurate responses to the Likewize qualification questions as to Product type, specifications and condition; however, the final value will be determined once received and inspected at Likewize, in Likewize’s sole opinion.
23. If an online trade initiates in store the customer will receive payment in the form of a Visa Gift Card. The Visa Gift Card will expire after two years from being issued and unused funds will be forfeited. After six months, a fee of $2.95 will be deducted from the balance of unused funds each month until all funds have been used or up to two years from the time the card was issued.
All information collected by Likewize Telecom and its affiliates (collectively referred to as “Likewize”) will be used either to facilitate your transaction or to facilitate your use of our site. https://appletradein.likewize.com/ It may also be used by Likewize in aggregation with other users' data to help improve our site. Likewize will not distribute your personal data to other companies for the purposes of selling you other goods and services.

General FAQ

What is Apple Trade In and how does it work?

Apple Trade In is a device trade-in program offered by Apple and operated by Likewize. We will provide you an estimated value based on the device information provided. If you like the quote, we will send you shipping materials (at no cost to you) and you can send in your device.

We will inspect your device and, if it is in the condition stated, send you an Apple Store Gift Card for the quoted amount. If the device is not in the stated condition, we will send you a new quote. You can either accept the new quote or have your device sent back (at no cost to you).

Who can take part in the program?

Any person who is at least 18 years of age and resides within the US that has an eligible device.

My device does not power on. Can I trade it in?

No, but your device can be responsibly recycled free of charge. Visit https://www.apple.com/recycling/ to learn more.

Can I trade-in any device?

Most Apple devices (and many devices from other brands) are eligible for trade-in. To see if your device is eligible, get started here.

Can I trade-in more than one device at a time?

No, each transaction is limited to one eligible device at a time. However, you can complete multiple transactions if you choose. Each transaction will be shipped separately and have a unique Quote ID number.

Will I always receive the quoted value?

No, not always. Upon receipt of your device, if we find that your self-assessment was different from that of our trained associates, we will adjust the price accordingly. You will receive a notification of this adjustment along with details about why the value is different with an opportunity to accept or reject the revised value within a specified timeframe. If you choose to reject the value your device will be shipped back to you free of charge.

Do I have to send my SIM card along with my device?

No, you must remove your SIM card, as these are non-returnable. If a SIM card is still in your device, it will be destroyed immediately upon receipt to protect any personal data.

Do I have to provide any proof of purchase?

No, but our terms and conditions require you to acknowledge that you are the owner on record of the device and entitled to trade it.

Is there a cost for sending my device to you? Is there a cost for sending it back to me?

Likewize pays for the shipping from your address to our Likewize Facility. If the device is returned to you, there is also no cost to you for the shipment.

Do I have to send in my devices' accessories? (charger, cables, etc.)

No. All we need from you is your eligible device. You do not need to send in the accessories, charger, manual or packaging. Device accessories that are mailed in will NOT be returned to you. If it is Mac, it is not necessary to send the charger/cable of the device. If it is a PC, only provide the main item of the laptop or desktop. You don't need to add any keyboard or mouse device.

How long do I have to send my device to you?

The quoted value is valid for 14 days and we encourage you to send the device to us within this timeframe to get the maximum value possible. If you require additional time, you have the option to extend the quote for an additional 7 days through Self-Service site: https://appletradein.likewize.com/login.aspx?cc=us. What if I send my device after the quote expiration?

If your device is received at the Likewize facility after your quote has expired, you will receive a revised quote for the device based on the current trade-in price and condition of your device.

What happens if the final value is different from the original quoted one?

You will receive a communication advising you of the inspected value and you will have 14 days to accept or reject our revised offer.

IMPORTANT: If we do not hear from you within 14 days of the notification email delivery date, we will ship the device back to you and cancel the trade-in, in which case an Apple Store Gift Card Will NOT be issued. In the event you reject the revised offer, we will ship your device back to you to the address on file for that particular quote ID at no cost to you.

What happens if I send in a device different from the one for which I received a quote?

As long as it is a currently eligible device, you will receive an e-mail offer for the trade in value at the time the device is received and processed in our facility. You will have 14 days to accept or decline the offer.

For any other products, you will not have the opportunity to have it shipped back to you nor will you be paid for any trade in value.

How can I follow the status of my trade-in?

You can check the status of your trade by logging into your account or by calling our Customer Support Center at 855-389-3173 between the hours of 8am-8pm EST, 7 days a week. You can also email at AppleTradeIn.Online@likewize.com.

Can I cancel my trade-in?

No. Once you send the device to us, you cannot cancel the trade-in. However, should you elect to reject the revised offer based on the condition of the device, the device will be returned to you, free of charge.

I received an email saying that my Gift Card was issued, but I haven’t received it. What do I do?

What do you do with my device?

The used devices are thoroughly checked by an associate to assess their condition. Those in good working order are data cleared, and resold on secondary markets. If the device cannot be economically repaired, it will be recycled in an environmentally responsible way via one of Apple’s recycling partners.

Are there any new purchase requirements for trading in my device?

No. You do not have to buy a new device to participate in this on-line program, however you will be compensated for the trade in value via an Apple Store Gift Card, which will be sent to you electronically.

Can I trade-in at an Apple retail store? Are there any differences?

You are welcome to trade-in your eligible device through any Apple Retail store. You will receive instant credit, but you must purchase a new device at that time.

How do I send my device to you?

A return kit will arrive within 5 days. This kit will provide you with a box containing complete instructions on how to send your device to us and track the status of your transaction.

How do I receive my trade-in payment? How long will it take?

Once your eligible device has been received and assessed, you will receive an Apple Store Gift Card equal to the amount of the trade-in value via e-mail within 3-5 business days. If the final inspected value is different from the original quoted value, you will receive the inspected value via electronic Apple Store Gift Card within 3-5 business days of your acceptance of the offer.

Are there any restrictions on the Apple Store Gift Card I may receive for my device?

Yes. Apple Store Gift Cards can be applied only to purchases in the U.S. from an Apple Retail Store, the Apple Online Store, or by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE. Gift cards may not be redeemed at the iTunes Store, at Apple resellers, for cash (except as required by law), or for shipments outside the U.S. Gift cards will remain active even if added to Passbook. Neither the issuer nor Apple is responsible for any lost or stolen gift cards or use without your permission. Keep them close; they’re valuable and can be redeemed by whoever finds them. 1. Tap Settings.
2. Tap iCloud.

How much time do I have turn off Find My iPhone/Find My iPad/Find My Apple Watch?

Upon receipt of an email notification to turn off Find my iPhone/iPad or Apple Watch, you will have 14 calendar days to turn it off and provide confirmation through the self-service site. After 14 days, should Find My iPhone/iPad or Apple Watch remain on, it will be returned to you to the address on file at time of quote confirmation.

How do I reset my Apple device?
1. Go into 'Settings'

Do I have to send in my Apple Watch band along with my device?

No, you must remove your band, as this is non-returnable. If a band is still attached to your Apple Watch, it will be disposed of immediately.

Why does my device's value depend upon its wireless carrier?

Some carriers use network technologies not shared by the majority of the carriers worldwide. Eligible Non Apple mobile devices that are designed for use on carriers with limited networks typically have a lower value.

How do I find my IMEI number?

Tap Settings > About (device) > Phone Identity or Status - Your IMEI number will be the 15 characters listed in the 'IMEI' field. On Mac, choose About This Mac from the Apple menu on your device.

How do I reset my device?

For Android Devices:
1. Go into 'Settings'
2. Tap 'Backup & Reset' under the 'General' Tab
3. Select 'Factory data reset'
4. Tap on 'Reset device'
