John,
Remove the javascript stuff and only keep the URL (from http:// to .wav) and
try to stick it into a browser. If the browser cannot download the wav file,
it could just be that your hostname of tasgdell490 does not resolve. Try
doing the same with the IP address of the server.

Subject: [Oreka-user] I cannot play the .wav files from within OrkWeb
Firstly, thanks for the previous help.
I have now got OrkAudio, OrkTrack and OrkWeb working using port 1955. As
previously mentioned calls are recorded, call details are logged in the
Oreka database and the details can be viewed with OrkWeb. (I am using Oreka
OrkAudio version 0.5-313 on Windows XP.)
But, still I cannot get the .wav files to play within OrkWeb.
I have tried the following items from previous posts without success:
1. "If the file is present, try to replay it locally with a media player
such as Windows Media Player. If it does not replay, please refer to Section
7.2, "Not possible to replay recorded files""
Well, the file *does* play when opened from Windows Media Player, but not
from the OrkWeb, so what can I do as I am baffled!
So then I tried...
2. "If you have double checked all of this, please do a view source, extract
the links to the wav files and see if it's possible to get them directly by
pasting the links into another IE window.
When I tried the string:
javascript:play('http://tagdell490:8080//2008/05/27/12/20080527_125015_10.42
.0.119,19092.wav')
or even when I amend it to be
javascript:play('http://tagdell490:1955//2008/05/27/12/20080527_125015_10.42
.0.119,19092.wav')
neither works.
If I paste:
C:\Program Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat
5.5\webapps\ROOT\2008\05\27\12\20080527_125015_10.42.0.119,19092.wav
into the browser WMP opens and plays the file!
Can anyone suggest why my wav files do not play please?
Thanks
John Ryrie.
