Client software for users of the Automatic Packet Reporting System amateur radio network.

OpenJUMP is a community driven fork of JUMP the "Java Unified Mapping Platform" GIS software. The original JUMP was developed by Vivid Solutions, released under GPL2 in 2003 and discontinued in 2006. During 2004 already some enthusiastic developers joined together to enhance further the features of JUMP. They launched an independent development branch called OpenJUMP. The name gives credit to the original JUMP development, and at the same time describes the objectives of this project to be fully open to anyone wanting to contribute. These days OpenJUMP is developed and maintained by (some few) volunteers around the globe. Viking is a free/open source program to manage GPS data. You can import, plot and create tracks, routes and waypoints, show OSM, Bing Aerial and other maps, geotag images, create routes using OSRM, see real-time GPS position (not in Windows), make maps using Mapnik (not in Windows), control items, etc. It is written in mostly in C (with some C++) & the GTK+3 toolkit. JGPSTrackEdit is a tool for editing gps tracks and planning (multiple days) tours (GPS track editor). An abritary number of tracks may be opened or created, tracks may be merged. A track may be splitted, reversed or edited (e.g. compressed and corrected). Points may be inserted or appended to a track (routing supported) or may be moved or deleted from a track. Maps of several providers are available, the default map is OpenStreetMap. Currently supported track formats: Garmin gpx route, Garmin gpx track, Garmin tcx, kml and plain txt. JGPSTrackEdit my also be used to download tile images for later offline use by smartphone apps. JGPSTrackEdit is written in the java language. QLandkarte GT is the ultimate outdoor aficionado's tool. It supports GPS maps in GeoTiff format as well as Garmin's img vector map format. Additional it is the PC side front end to QLandkarte M, a moving map application for mobile devices.

A web based Metadata Catalog Server for data description and discovery. Supports both generic and geospatial data discovery. It implements international standards (e.g. ISO19115/19139/19119, ISO19115-3, DCAT-AP, CSW 2.0, OGC API Records). It originates from the United Nations and is used by many governments as geoportal software. Active development and discussion takes place on GitHub and OSGeo Discourse. OpenGTS (Open Source GPS Tracking System) is a full featured web-based GPS tracking system for your fleet of vehicles. It supports OpenLayers and other map providers, detail/summary Reporting, and various GPS tracking devices.

Kalypso is an open source application for geospatial modelling and simulation. It is primarily developed to be a user friendly tool for GIS-based modelling and simulation of hydrological and hydraulic numerical models.

OpenSeaMap's goal is to add nautical and tourism information a sailor could be interested in to OSM (OpenStreetMap) and to present it in a pleasing way. Those include beacons, buoys and other seamark and port information.

A bike information system for cyclists in Berlin and Brandenburg (Germany) with a map view and a routing engine. There's a graphical interface (based on Perl/Tk) as well as an Web interface. Source code may be found at Github: https://github.com/eserte/bbbike/

At the current state, opengeodb provide geo coordinates and several other data (city name, zip) mainly for the german speaking area.

GeoClass for PHP provides classes to handle georeferenced data. Features are: circumference search in (relational) databases, handlers for NIMA-DB and openGeoDB, distance calculation, creation of maps from .e00 or .ovl files and more (rdf, soap, etc).

Gpsdrive is a car (bike, ship, plane) navigation system. Displaying your position on a map and a lot of other functions are implemented. It works with vector maps from http://www.OpenStreetMap.de/

The Openstreetmap client can be used to access the map data of the Openstreetmap project without using a browser. The user can browse the maps, save the maps on his local PC.

Karto allows to calibrate a scanned map (or aerial photos) with some known geo-points (Lambert, UTM, ...). After that, you can add any points (GPS points) in the map to build your own map. You can also add a transparent GIF image in the map after calibration (cave, mines, roads, ...). You can realize your own cartes with the data you add inside adding/showing/hiding layers of data. You can import/export your data files (after checking and correcting them) in differents formats.

The BioEnergy Allocation and Simulation Tool (BEAST) is a tool dedicated to assess political goals of woody bioenergy production in the context of available biomass potentials and corresponding economic and ecological criteria on a regional level. It is a useful tool in participative decision making processes by iterative simulation and visualization of complex issues. BEAST is a data- and model-driven Decision Support System (DSS) evaluating woody biomass potentials from forests, hedges and trees outside forests as well as short rotation coppice (SRC). The latter one is modelled spatially explicit. This opens the possibility to identify prefered areas for SRC production under different restrictions and goals. Forest wood and wood from outside forests are treated only aggregated.

The Free Location Api is a free implementation of the JSR-179 Location API for J2SE. It also extends the functionality to allow aggregating of multiple location technologies and seamlessly transitioning between them. (GPS, BT, WLAN,...)
