The house of the Golden Flower was one of the mightiest of the twelve houses of the Elves in Gondolin during the First Age. Its leader was Glorfindel. The warriors of this house had gilded armour and weapons damascened with well-crafted gold; Glorfindel was described as having armour so embroidered with gold that it was like a field of celandine. They defended the Great Market valiantly during the Fall of Gondolin.
