Ganzaya "Zaya" Dhoro

Ganzaya of the Dhoro, better known as Zaya by her allies, has a fearsome reputation — one that is well-earned from a lifetime of honing her combat skills. In childhood, she learned to hunt on the Azim Steppe until her mother's untimely passing spurred her to leave her tribe. She then spent the better part of a decade as an underground fighter, adopting the moniker The Black Mamba. But a life-altering injury caused her to abandon that path, after which she became a blade for hire, and eventually, the renowned Warrior of Light.

Zaya gives the impression of a gruff and cold woman who doesn't care to interact with others. In truth, she's merely awkward around strangers and cursed with resting bitch face. Beneath that icy exterior is a kind and romantic soul who wants to make the world a better place for her loved ones. She views this side of herself as weak and tries to hide it; when no one's looking, she's easily moved to tears and fawns over porxies. She also adores alternative fashion and spends all her hard-earned cash on elaborate outfits.

Theo Avourel

Adopted by rich Sharlayans, Theo Avourel was given the best education in the realm. Showing a natural inclination for song from a young age, he received lessons and went on to pursue music theory at the Studium. But what really drew him to music were legends of heroic bards, of the admiration and inspiration they stirred in others — so he abandoned academia to learn the bow in Gridania and become a performing adventurer. Suffice to say, his family was not pleased.

Theo thrives when receiving attention and withers in its absence. Luckily for him, his charming and outgoing nature tends to get him noticed — and that's not even considering his beautiful voice or skill with multiple instruments. You might think this would result in a big ego, and you'd be correct. However, his journey with the Scions, and the pain and loss he experiences as a result, leads him to develop a more cynical view of himself and the world. Turns out that becoming a great hero isn't like his younger self imagined.

Momoka Moka

Momoka Moka was born on the outskirts of Ul'dah as the eldest of four siblings. When her father died in a mining accident (safety standards? From a Monetarist venture?) she had little time to mourn before she also had to strike the sands to provide for her working-class family. The wages were pitiable, and when she came of age, she convinced her mother to let her try picking up jobs at the Adventurer's Guild instead. Who knew that from such humble origins, a conversation with Momodi and chance meeting with the Sultana would lead her down a hero's path?

Despite this hard-knock life, Momoka has ever been an optimistic and bubbly girl, partly to inspire hope in her beloved siblings. In difficult circumstances, she believes it is her responsibility to keep everyone smiling and has difficulty passing her burdens onto others. But she's not afraid to voice her displeasure — this tiny hero has a wicked temper when provoked! Still, she's rarely one to hold a grudge, as she tends to assume the best in others...even easily trusting false allies with ill intentions.

Euphémie "Euphie" Bernadette Marchand

Zaya's retainer. This sweet and soft-spoken woman finds herself in the Warrior of Light's employ after the events of Heavensward. As a lowborn Ishgardian, Euphie is deeply grateful to both Zaya and Aymeric for their efforts in making her home a more equal society. A nature-lover since childhood, she fondly remembers a time before the Calamity when Ishgard was green. She has dedicated herself to documenting the changes in Coerthan fauna and enjoys sketching her findings with pen and ink. She hopes that her work as a botanist might help Zaya stay safe and healthy with various natural remedies. As she spends more time around the Temple Knights, she also becomes smitten with a certain tall, blonde ex-Garlean...

M'rhen Tia

Momoka's retainer. Born to the M Tribe, he fled Gyr Abania following the Imperial invasion of Ala Mhigo. He worked odd jobs in Ul'dah, picking up myriad skills, before he served as a butler (and secret ninja) for the royal family for over a decade. Following Raubahn's release from prison and Nanamo's recovery, the Flame General recommended him as a faithful protector for the Warrior of Light, fearing that Momoka might once again become a target for their enemies. If anyone could fight off a would-be assassin in the middle of the night, it's this impossibly competent Miqo'te.

As for his personality: put Kiryu, Ronove, and Loid in a blender and you're basically there. (In-depth description to come eventually!)
