Orion liked pretty dresses, four-leaf clovers, and sheep. Anything else had little to no chance of ever catching her attention. She was just the weird, and somewhat slow son of the local butcher.

Cain could have been a good kid. But the attention he didn't get from home, he sought out by causing trouble for the rest of the village. When his family fell apart, no one really had any sympathy left for him.

Bummer Lamb is a chaptered story of Orion's, and Cain's childhoods, from 1805 to 1813. Focus on hurt/comfort, and the intrigue of firsts.

Wysteria is a fictional world, and the characters are figments of imagination. If there's a part of "reality" I find no use for within the story, I may add very convenient in-world solutions.

• Chapter 1 16th of June, 1805. Orion questions religion, minutes before Sunday mass.
• Chapter 2 21st of June, 1805. Cain hides in the forest to cry alone. Orion finds him.
• Chapter 3 22nd of June, 1805. Orion finds Cain in the forest again. She learns boys aren't allowed to cry.
• Chapter 4 23rd of June, 1805. Cain hides in a new spot. Orion still finds him, and finds answers.
• Chapter 5 24th of June, 1805. Lance, and Orion practice handwriting in school. Heading home, they talk about fitting in.
• Chapter 6 25th of June, 1805. Orion wants to explore the forest with Cain.
• Chapter 7 26th of June, 1805. Lance reminds Orion that the forest is dangerous.
• Chapter 8 27th of June, 1805. Orion wants new boots. Clemens has to tell her no, though he hates to. Later, Orion joins Cain in the forest.
