the coruscant guard jedi general is directly assigned to them by the chancellor. they must keep the assignment hush-hush, of course, for security reasons, as the general is in a position of privilege by liaising directly with the chancellor. vulnerable to separatist attack, and so on.

fox and the other commanders big shrug at this. opsec is opsec after all. and it’s not like the general is around very often— his role is definitely in intelligence. he’s well connected with the gangs of coruscant, too, and takes a distinct pleasure in assisting CG takedowns.

sure, it’s a little weird when they see their general attacking cody’s on the holonet, but general maul promised they’d have lightsaber lessons when he got back!
