in short: it applies to an increasingly popular, yet well-established group of both data-conscious & federated social networking platforms. most popular/notable example would be Mastodon💕—they all use the internet protocol "ActivityPub" which was built with intentions within decentralization and respect for users' personal data—which is oftentimes handed away so carelessly to big-tech social companies. (FB/IG/TT/SC/etc.)
and ya wanna where ultimately that ends up? processed in the memory banks of some AI bot. (IIRC it is an confirmed fact that, having harvested users' data since the dawn of social media, a couple o' decades ago... that is the organic information in which today's AI is utilizing. an immeasurable amount of data; responses to world events, trends, topics, chronological selfies from teen to young adult..... yeah. read on:
