There is a price for using the Shrine of Resurrection.

It wasn't obvious at first, Link had been woken up too early, just as the shrine had begun to properly rejuvenate him. But as he increased his stamina and his strength, whispers began to follow him as he passed through stables and towns.

Some people would just say that it was because he was the hero chosen by the Goddess, or that surely it was due to the Master Sword's power. But the Sheikah knew. And anyone who had known him before his death knew.

There is a price for using the Shrine of Resurrection. The Sheikah technology worms through your veins, forcing broken tissue to mend, blood to pump, and your lungs to expand and contract.

Some things, however, cannot be fixed, and had to be replaced.

The Zora had noticed it first. How the hero seemed different. Not just that fact that he couldn't remember them, no, it was in the way he moved. He had always been quite fast and agile, but now it had an almost inhuman quality to it, as if his feet barely even needed to touch the ground.

The Gorons could also see it, but this time through the hero's strength. A normal hylian, hell, even a remarkably strong hylian, wouldn't be able to even lift the Boulder Breaker. Yet there the hero was, swinging it around with the ease of someone who had used it their entire life.

It had been the Rito who had first discovered another new... oddity... of the hero. How he seemed to be able to hang in the air, frozen in place, firing off multiple arrows too fast for the Rito to track. They could only tell by the broken targets left behind.

Similar stories would follow the hero through the stables. People whispering of how time seemed to move differently around the hero as he fought of monsters many times his size. Of how he would perfectly dodge attacks before returning a lightning fast flurry of blows.

A yiga clan member once said that they swore that they had seen the hero eat twenty apples in under a second but no one believed them and this seemed largely irrelevant and unrelated.
