Paula Mello Ferber leads go-to-market at Reliant AI, where she works closely with technical founders to translate complex science and technology into clear, compelling narratives that drive revenue and strategic partnerships. She brings a background as a healthcare and life sciences operator and former consultant to pharma and biotech on pipeline strategy and commercialization, with academic training in computational neuroscience.

Sebastian is the Head of Operations at Reliant and a real start-up Swiss-army-knife. He has law degree, spent a few years as a management consulting working on operations and supply chain projects in the U.S. and Mexico and then joined his first startup in Boston over a decade ago. Since then, we built and manages basically every non-engineering function: At Formlabs he built the entire 90+ people service organization and also managed their logistics and supply chain before taking over operations for all of EMEA. At Grover he managed business development, retail sales, and partnerships. At Quantica, he managed the entire commercial side.

I am an experienced life sciences strategy professional with passion for combining complex data with smart product design to optimize customer experience. After founding my own life sciences software startup, I spent 4 years in biopharma commercialization consulting working closely with large PharmaCo's to support product launch & positioning decisions.  At Reliant, I draw upon these experiences to bridge the gap between nuanced customer needs and evolving product strategy.

Sándor specializes in architecting reliable generative AI systems for commercial biopharma, leveraging deep expertise in LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows. His work focuses on building accurate, explainable, and document-grounded search and QA solutions tailored to complex domain needs. With a PhD in Physics and prior experience as a Principal Data Scientist at Zalando, he combines rigorous scientific methodology with large-scale engineering to steer cutting-edge AI product development.

Carolyne specializes in NLP and holds a Master’s in Computer Science from Mila – Quebec AI Institute, with a focus on artificial intelligence. At Reliant, she builds ML-powered product features and benchmarks language models for life sciences research tools.

Yaroslav is a Principal Software Engineer with expertise spanning infrastructure, backend development, and LLM integrations. At Reliant AI, he builds the systems that ingest, process, and deliver large-scale academic research data to support health sciences discovery.

Will is a Product Manager at Reliant with deep expertise in biopharma commercialization. He spent six years in life sciences strategy consulting, advising pharmaceutical and medical device companies on commercial strategy, launch planning, and M&A due diligence. With a background in biomedical engineering, he brings both commercial and scientific fluency to building products that support high-stakes decisions in the industry.

I have working experience ranging from data scientist - full-stack development - data platform engineer to most recently AI agent development. Most recently, I focused on a text-to-SQL project at GHGSat to help non-technical teams easily access database insights and cut data request waiting time from days to minutes. Simon holds a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence and has spent most of his career in startups and consulting. He has led development of computer vision and document intelligence products, and was also a math teacher in a previous life. At Reliant.ai, Simon leverages large language models to bring clarity to complex health science questions.

I enjoy learning new things at work, from a new product persona to some cutting edge tech.

I'm a product expert with deep experience delivering & scaling AI products across the health and life sciences. My past experience ranges from being the 5th employee in a biotech company where I built out a lab and developed novel diagnostic techniques, to delivering AI driven agricultural insights to tens of millions of farmers across India. Now at Reliant I am leading the product team to deliver deep and actionable insights to the world of drug development.

With a background in biomedical and neuroscience, I spent nearly 4 years working as a competitive intelligence consultant for top 20 Pharma firms. During that time I lead internal initiatives to develop and implement tech tools for our workflows. With this experience and keen interest in technology and AI I moved into product development roles within the life science industry where I have worked for over 2 years.

Brielan Smiechowski is an epidemiologist, educator and life sciences strategist with 15+ years of experience driving innovation at the intersection of health research, data analytics and AI/ML. Alongside her role at Reliant AI, Brielan is helping shape the next generation of industry leaders as a lecturer at the University of Southern California’s Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Previously, Brielan held strategic roles at Veeva, HealthVerity, Aitia, PrecisionAQ, Mapi Group, and the Arkansas Bioscience Institute. Brielan holds an MSc in epidemiology from McGill University and a BS in Biological Sciences from Arkansas State University.

As a Software Architect and Principal Software Engineer at Reliant AI, Angela drives the end-to-end cloud architecture and technical strategy for scalable, event-driven, domain-driven applications. She applies her deep technical expertise, rooted in microservices, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code, across diverse industries and has a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing engineering teams in fast-paced startup environments.
