VIP: If your heart is set on one pup and you would like to interview before our event, please select the VIP option on your application. We will contact you during the week prior to the Saturday event to conduct your interview. If approved to move forward, you will pay a non-refundable $50 fee for your appointment. This fee goes to support our vetting fund. You will be given an appointment time, and your VIP pup will not have any other appointments set for them for that week. If you do not show up for any reason you will forfeit your meeting with that pup and the VIP fee. Your VIP appointment is for the Saturday coming up, we do not hold VIP appointments for the following weeks. If you want to meet multiple pups, we suggest coming to an event as a walk-in and seeing who your match is. Walk-in adoptions happen every Saturday from 12pm to 3:30 pm at Petco Denver, 4100 E. Mexico Ave. We operate on a first-come, first-qualified-to-adopt basis. Thank you!

Rocky Mountain Puppy Rescue is a licensed non-profit animal welfare organization whose mission is to save unwanted puppies, adult dogs, and cats from being euthanized in overcrowded kill shelters. We transfer, spay, neuter, and place these animals in our Colorado foster network until they are ready for adoption to their forever homes. The benefits of a foster home are tremendous, we provide the socialization that these animals cannot experience in a traditional shelter setting, enabling them to grow into balanced animals that will thrive in their forever homes.
We promote our animal welfare organization through our public adoption events, and benefit New Mexico communities with our SPAY IT FORWARD program that provides life saving vaccines and spay and neuter services. Since 2012 we have spayed/neutered over 4,000 dogs and cats in our public Spay Program. In addition to these programs, we provide donated food to areas in need through our food network connections and educate the public about the need for spaying and neutering of their pets, proper exercise, feeding, grooming, and training.
each year

Our foster network is the lifeblood of the rescue. Fosters allow us to bring dogs and cats from high-kill shelters in surrounding states to find forever homes here in Colorado. Please consider opening your home to help animals in desperate need.
