What is Where Winds Meet?

An epic open-world action-adventure RPG rooted in the rich legacy of Wuxia.

Explore a breathtaking open world, featuring action-adventure gameplay and deep RPG progression. Become a young sword master during the turbulent era of tenth-century China and embark on a journey to uncover the mysteries of your own identity.

Create and customise your character using a unique Eastern combat system inspired by Wuxia — martial arts and chivalry tales originating in China — with multiple familiar and exotic weapons and skills to unlock and upgrade.

Choose to embark on a rich, narrative-driven adventure with over 150 hours of solo gameplay, or open your world to up to four friends in seamless co-op.

Where Winds Meet is available as a PlayStation 5 console exclusive from 14th November 2025.

Where Winds Meet is an epic open-world action-adventure RPG with deep, Wuxia-inspired combat. You take on the role of a young sword master, uncovering forgotten truths and the mysteries of your own identity.

Yes, you will experience an adventure with unlimited freedom. Your choices may influence side quests, Encounters and other aspects of open-world exploration.

Yes, Where Winds Meet is a free-to-play game. There is an optional battle pass, paid cosmetic items and a monthly subscription, but this content will not affect a player's abilities or skills.

The game provides different difficulty modes for different players. Those who prefer exploration and storyline experiences can choose the Story Mode, while those who enjoy combat can opt for the Challenge Mode.

Multiplayer is entirely optional. You can journey as a lone sword master and enjoy over 100 hours of rich narrative-driven exploration and adventure, or play the main campaign with up to four friends.

In single-player mode, there are certain levels designed specifically for multiplayer exploration. By incorporating online features, the game aims to facilitate smoother completion of explorations and challenges while providing opportunities for players to make new friends.

Where Winds Meet for PlayStation 5 Pro will have a higher rendering resolution, optimised ray tracing effects and PSSR support.
