From a story perspective, Ghost of Yōtei is not a direct sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, but it does represent an evolution of critically-acclaimed design and mythos of Sucker Punch's 2020 hit. Those who loved the stylish combat and breathtaking visuals of Ghost of Tsushima are sure to love what the developer has created for Ghost of Yōtei.

Yes, the popular 'Legends' mode from Ghost of Tsushima, will return in Ghost of Yōtei. Though this won't be available at launch, players can look forward to learning more about this multiplayer focused experience very soon.

That depends on you, the player. Ghost of Yōtei presents a vast world to explore filled with characters, locations and secret items to discover. It's certain, however, that following Atsu's story to it's conclusion and discovering all the world has to offer will take a great many hours. 

In Japanese, the word 'Yōtei' is pronounced 'Yo-tay'. 

Ghost of Yōtei is set several hundred years after the events of Ghost of Tsushima. As such, Ghost of Tsushima's main protagonist Jin Sakai does not feature within the game. His legend, however, endures.

Ghost of Yōtei launches exclusively on PlayStation 5 on 2^nd October 2025 and also includes support for PlayStation 5 Pro.
