"The Ghastly Devourer" A flesh-horror from elder tales, its hollow veins pulse with the damned souls of sacrificed lambs—young, male, bleating still. It crushes wayfarers to pulp with fists like millstones, but savors most the tender bones of human younglings, slurped like marrow from a split reed.

Photographer Roberto Pazzi, 44, of Mallorca, Spain, travelled to Lalibela, in north Ethiopia, where he spent two weeks with a tribe - learning about their culture and taking their photographs.
