Instant Carrot🥕Dosa - a fresh take on my viral recipe with the addition of carrot making it healthier .  This dosa does not require soaking, uses no rice and needs no fermentation.  Blend 1 cup washed masoor dal with 1/3 cup carrot chopped fine, 1 red chili, 1/2 teaspoon jeera along with around 1-1.5 cup of water in the juicer jar of a mixie until you get a smooth batter. Add salt to taste, mix well. Add a little water if needed until you get a smooth batter like in the video.  You can make the dosa right away although it’s nice to rest it for 30 minutes to an hour.  #idli #dosa #southindianfood #quickrecipes #veganrecipe #bangalorefoodblogger

Red lentil & Carrot Sweet potato Dosa:   1. Soak 1 cup masoor dal for 3-4 hours.   • 2. Boil sweet potato and carrot of 1 piece each in either microwave or stove for 5 mins on high. Or use instant pot steaming mode too.   • 3. Then allow it to cool. Add the strained masoor dal to a blender, add 3-4 Kashmiri chilies, the steamed veggies, salt. Grind them to a purée.   4. While soaking lentil itself you can soak either white rice/red rice/ black rice/quinoa. Or can add oatmeal directly while grinding.   But, I for an easy method, added one ladle of already stored idly batter. That is enough for the quantity I have made the above preparation.   5. Instant dosa recipe
 • Soak Masoor dal and rice (your choice of rice) for around 30 minutes to 1 hour. Then add in ginger green chillis and garlic in a mixer grinder. Make a paste of it with the soaked dal and rice. Add in salt to the batter and just heat the pan, grease it with ghee, pour in the batter, add more ghee to it. Flip it over and cook it well (takes around 4 minutes for each dosa) and enjoy

I just saw a reel that showed how to make instant dosa using red lentil and since it’s my favourite dal (masoor ki dal) I couldn’t help but make it instantly!! it turned out to be so nice, crispy and easy to make. Although spreading the batter can be tricky, but it saves so much time anyway like I made this whole thing under 30 mins!!!??💖🌻
I paired it with fish pickle but you can have it any achar/chutney.
