2D/3D Grease Pencil Animation - Stylized 3D Environment Model

Grease Pencil art process of a stylized castle scene made in blender with grease pencil and toon shading. I created this stylized animated scene with a castle in the sky in blender with toon shading and grease pencil. This 2d/3d npr scene is inspired by game of thrones / house of the dragon show, especially the eyrie. after finishing up with the modelling process. i set up the light considering the npr stylized look i'm going for. I then started with toon shading with different materials, i took some help from good environment sketches as references that i found on pinterest, it helped me with the 2d/3d look for this scene. I then animated the scene with some good music. I hope you like the final animation as well as the video about this stylized 2d/3d castle scene.

In this video, I'm creating a stylized 2d/3d animation in blender with grease pencil, 2d character in 3d environment. This time I tried combining 2d and 3d art with my 2d character animation and toon shaded stylized 3d environment made with grease pencil. I first model the stylized low poly scene in blender with the help of image reference, It is some place based in cube. I used the same reference for the colors and lighting for the final environment. The whole environment scene is made with blender's EVEE. After modelling the low poly scene, I used toon shading for the coloring and then I used grease pencil for adding more 2d details on 3d environment. This is a Blender grease pencil tutorial about creating this 2d/3d fantasy animation in blender. I started working on this project with this reference image i saw on pinterest. I first started modelling the stylized castle scene and then used blender lights for some interesting light setup. I used toon shading for the shadow and light colors and used grease pencil for drawing over the 3d scene. I used grease pencil objects for drawing the 2d elements like characters and clouds. I then later animated the scene by animating the camera and also did some hand drawn grease pencil animation with the characters in the foreground.
