Alternative ways to stretch type 4 hair
This method of stretching the hair is called ‘Banding’. Using the satin scrunchies, I am able to see a visible difference after banding. • Using Satin Scrunchies as opposed to ponytail holders, provides a layer of protection against breakage. • Divide the hair/twists in 4-6 sections. • Gather the section and begin wrapping the scrunchie down the hair, leaving little to no gaps. • They should be wrapped tight enough to hold the hair in the stretched position but not so tight that it indents the hair. • Do not band the ends of the sections in order to keep the integrity of the ends in tact. • Leave in for 30 min or overnight to see stretched results.
