Rep ranges explained
What does Sets & Reps mean?  Reps are an abbreviation for “repetitions”. It indicates how many times you do a particular exercise such as a bicep curl.  8 reps means 8 bicep curls.  Sets is the number of times you do the repetitions.  3 sets of 8 reps, also known as 3x8 translates to  • 8 bicep curls, 8 bicep curls, 8 bicep curls  = 3 rounds of the 8 bicep curls.  Some coaches might write it 8x3 which means 8 reps for 3 sets.  Always have it clarified by the coach.
