That is, each forewing has what looks like a fly headed down towards the hindwing, and the bottom of the hindwing has what looks like a fresh splat of glistening bird poop. This moth also smells like ammonia which is what bird poop smells like.

The common name(Indian Purple Emperor) refers to the fact that this butterfly can be found in India and the Recto side has an iridescent purple color along with black and white. However, I think that this Verso side is even more beautiful as it has a pearly bluish white and pink color.
