Since 2011, American artist, William Steiger (b. 1962) has used the medium of collage to translate and add to his style of layered and carefully pared-down depiction of compressed, quiet and unpopulated spaces. Constructed from using vintage maps and papers and gouache the plane "flies" over the Charles River. The artist signature is on the lower left corner of the collage.
