Nicole Neenan is a multidisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, New York.
Born with an innate curiosity and a creative spirit, Nicole pursued her education in the arts, attending Pratt Institute, earning a BFA in Media Arts: Photography and Filmmaking, with a minor degree in Art History. Her academic background provides her with a solid foundation in various artistic disciplines, enabling her to explore the myriad ways in which art intersects with culture, history, and human expression.
Her Photography career has been marked by a passion for capturing what she describes as, “the many fascinating realms within New York City”. Her portfolio spans a wide range of subjects, including portraiture, food photography, interior photography, fine jewelry, art, rare books of antiquity, and culturally-significant printed matter. Nicole specializes in the photography of books, working with institutions such as The Grolier Club, while also working as the Photographer of the Estee Lauder Archives.
Nicole's makeup artistry is another dimension of her creative expression. She has a particular affinity for the offbeat, the unconventional, and the peculiar. Her fascination with the horror genre is a distinctive aspect of her artistic expression. She has worked on indie films and music videos and is part of the horror film collective, Tiny Terrors Films.
With a unique and eclectic blend of interests, Nicole's work is a testament to her deep appreciation for art, history, music, and the many facets of culture that has helped her carve a niche for herself in the creative landscape of NYC.
Outside of her artistic pursuits, Nicole enjoys immersing herself in books and people-watching while exploring the city.
