NOUS 6 was created while important and challenging issues like the war in Syria has been taken its toll on our everyday and millions of refugees were on their way to find peace and hope in Europe. The Worlds Apart Issue brings stories to you addressing tensions calmly resonating in our daily lives. When we sent out the open call, we gave a nod to our contributors to be daring and step out of the circle dedicated to Mental Health. We wanted to see the finer, and stronger connections to the wider world through emotions we share or keep inside. Gozde Naiboglu talks about prejudice attached to originating from the East in her piece “This East Which Is Not One”. Angus Stewart reflects on the works of our hero R D Laing, and Imogen DeCordova tells us how Leonora Carrington kind of saved her life on a trip to Croatia.

This issue is the fattest so far with 180 pages. It is also the first issue printed on our own riso machine in marine red, blue, and black with some beautiful reproductions of photography and illustrations by Chris Bethell, ruiné, Eleonora Bonanzinga and many more. 147mm x 210 mm, this NOUS comes with two stickers and an A4 poster designed by Graham Wann.
