Prison Break season 1

I finally ventured into the first season of this much-discussed (and repeatedly recommended to me) series. It starts very strong: within no time I felt involved with the characters and the tension is immediately palpable. In fact, Episodes 6 and 7 were so good that it seemed like I was dealing with a season finale. The (logical) disadvantage of this is that it seems that the series gets stuck in second gear a bit after that. The season never gets boring, but sometimes it does drag on a bit; and I mean in particular everything that goes on outside the prison. Wentworth Miller does a great job in the lead role, but it's true that he doesn't have too many facial expressions at his disposal. I was often more impressed by his fellow inmates and the prison staff. A few disturbing improbabilities and coincidences occasionally took me out of the series and because of that I can't give it a higher score. However, the entertainment value is very high and the denouement of this season is cleverly put together. It's been a long time since I almost had to hold my hand in front of my eyes because something was so exciting, but Prison Break managed to do that several times during the blistering climax.

4*

Prison Break season 1

This season was also the best season. While I've been able to enjoy this entire series somewhere, it's never been as good as this season. A while back I read that there will be another series of this soon, I have no idea what to imagine. I don't really see it that way. Prison Break is the only series I have on DVD, which actually says a lot to me.

Prison Break season 4

I didn't really like this season. Pretty boring. Actually screwed up the whole series.

Prison Break season 4

I thought it was a real torture. Since I had already seen the first 3 seasons, I also really wanted to see the denouement, but by episode 8 I was actually done with it. For some reason they kept putting up episodes (it's 24 episodes, not 22 by the way), there really was no end to it. Therefore, with this one, a well-deserved 0.5 *
